Did I hear wrong or is it true that Be Our Guest will serving breakfast starting in 2014????
And if so will it be a Character breakfast?

any one hear that ?

I think that would be awesome and I would think its a no brainer business wise. Now what we have to ask ourselves is would it be open before rope drop?

I would think so-- all of the others were-- did they change that? We haven't done a character meal in a while. It was a great way to get into the parks first!

1) Of course, anything is possible.
2) But, there are some logistical issues.

a) It would have to be a buffet or AYCTE
. . . they need to charge big bucks
. . . or, people could come in and eat cheap
. . . and many, many would
b) They would have a short meal time
. . . they would have to clear the room for lunch
. . . this means a short window for eating and re-setting the eatery
. . . if lunch start at 11:30, people need to be out by 10:30am
. . . in addition to reset, they need and hour to get employee breaks over
. . . if not a short window, then they need to rush late comers out
. . . so, max serving time would probably be only 3-hrs, or so
c) High employee costs
. . . very expensive to hire characters for just a short meal time
. . . would need another place for the characters for remainder of their shift
. . . they would, also, need a whole new set of servers
. . . servers can't work bfast-to-dinner, as the shift is too long

NOTE: If they thought they could charge big bucks, I am sure they could
find a way around the logistics, but it would have to be with the consent
of the union.

typically character breakfast start 10 before the park officially opens

In February, we had an ADR at Crystal Palace for right when it opened (around 8am) when MK didn't open until 9. I imagine BOG would have to do the same thing in order to be ready for lunch at 11. I don't see it being anything other than a character meal. It would seem pointless otherwise, IMO.

Yes but that does not always mean that it would Stop Disney, look at the Cinderella royal table they do that on well and its not cheap ether so they could do it
and still well get prepped for lunch by closing off rooms at they got closer to lunch

Well, I hope they start having breakfast at BOG! I'd be there in a heartbeat!

And we think it is hard to get into now! Imagine when they start serving breakfast, it would be impossible!

But then, again, with more hours, the frenzy might die down.

I'll tell you what... I'm betting in the next 1-2 years the QS aspect goes away and it goes to a TS. Which at that point you could do Character breakfast.. probably family style like Ohana.
