Everybody has a good character story. I have several, but here is one for now.

Pretty much my whole family was at Animal Kingdom one day in September. The park wasn't real busy and we weren't in any particular hurry. We were kind of loitering around a cast member entrance somewhere in the park. Pretty much out of nowhere Goofy pops up behind us, no escort or other CM, just Goofy. I thought that was kind of weird but I thought "whatever" it's Disney. He taps me on the shoulder and gives me the sign to "follow him". He then grabs my two nephews and started walking ahead of us to this cast member entrance. We come through this little gate and there were over a dozen characters standing there. Everybody you could want was there. They all posed with my nephews for pictures and they turned out awesome. I wish I had a copy of it but only my sister does. There was nobody else around anywhere. It was just the characters and my nephews.

After several minutes and a roll or two of film (yes, remember when you put film in a camera, not a card) we said thanks and went on our way. Both nephews are in high school now but they still talk about how they got to go back with all those characters and get their picture taken. A true magic moment.

It was my first time to Disney and we just got to our hotel. We dropped off everything at the hotel and then got on a bus to the TTC. We then hopped on the Magic Kingdom monorail. As we passed the Magic Kingdom, (you know how you go in front of the Kingdom so can get into the monorail stop) almost all the most popular Disney characters were lined up in front of the Railroad station. Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald, and Chip and Dale. It was so neat! It was like all the characters were waiting for me to arrive! :yay:

I was waiting to get my picture with Mickey in front of the castle (this was back when Cinderella's Surprise Celebration was playing). I don't remember what happened, but Mickey got down on one knee and "proposed"! It was awsome.

I have other stories (lots of stories), but this one is my favorite.

It was our first trip in 2006. My very shy DD6 walks up to Capt. Hook for an autograph. She reaches her little arm out with her book and pen in hand and Capt. Hook grabs her by both shoulders and gently pushes her into a very large puddle of water. Of course she steps out of it. As she does he pushes her back into it. This goes on 3 more times as Mr. Smee is laughing hysterical at them. DH and myself included. :rotfl2: My poor DD decides to stand in the puddle until she gets the autograph. She snatches her book back from Capt. Hook and runs to us. It was very funny. 3 years later that is her favorite memory of our trip.
