Best hospital or urgent care near Disneyland? (For future reference)

Speaking of healthcare around the parks...I thought I once heard that there's a nurse on call at The Grand Californian. Is this true?
Typically they have nurses available during park hours. There are exceptions based on events etc. I suggest calling the GCH directly with your medical support questions.

In-room medical services are also available at all Disneyland Resort hotels. Simply touch “Front Desk” from your in-room phone for assistance, 24 hours a day.

Well when my husband had a medical emergency *in* the park there was a DL employed nurse tending to him and multiple security surrounding him. I asked and they always have nursing staff on duty: I would assume it would be around park hours.

They were all extremely professional and clearly a well oiled machine. Leaving back stage with him on a stretcher and then via ambulance was something else...
Good to know. If something happens inside the parks I'll find a CM. I hope your DH was ok and could enjoy the rest of your trip.

We were staying at Paradise Pier one time and my toddler son got really sick. It was the middle of the night and I went to the front desk to ask where the nearest 24 hour pharmacy was. They asked why, and then said they had a nurse on call. I was able to talk to her on the phone and go over all his symptoms. She advised me what to do (I already had meds that would work) and she even advised the PPH staff to get me a humidifier. PPH didn’t have one, so a cast member ran to GCH to get me one. I had more peace of mind after I talked to the nurse. The next day my son felt much better.

Wow, that is such wonderful care. I'm glad he felt better the next day.

I've always wondered about this. A few years ago, my SIL tripped on the main street tracks while carrying her grandson. Unfortunately, he fell and cut his forehead badly enough to require stitches. According to her account, the CM's only concern was washing the blood off the street, and she was left on her own to get her grandson back to the tram.

Also according to her account, when they arrived at a nearby urgent care, the staff there was amazed that she had not been accompanied by a Disney employee, and they told her it was typical for Disney to transport people who had been injured on property. The experience has made her swear off traveling to Disney parks, and she is disgusted that I continue to give them my business.

In full disclosure, my SIL struggles to tell the truth about anything;) so I'm curious to hear other's experiences.
When my son was about 3 years old we fell down the stairs coming out of Chip and Dales Treehouse (or as I liked to refer to it, Chip and Dale’s death trap). I was carrying my son when we fell and we both got pretty hurt, him more than me.

A guest alerted a cast member who contacted a nurse. The nurse showed up with a security guard. She was so kind and professional, with a great bedside manner with my son. She examined him very thoroughly and recommended I have him seen by a doctor for an x-ray.

She offered a wheel chair but since I was OK to walk and I had a stroller for my son I told her we didn’t need it. She and the security guard escorted us all the way from Toontown to the front of the park. She made sure we didn’t need additional help getting to the car (I felt I could manage). She was so great. She even had a little Mickey doctor sticker for my son. I felt it was well handled and the cast members definitely showed a lot of care and concern for my son’s welfare.

In the end, he did get the X-rays and he was fine, no broken bones. Just banged up and had some killer bruises on his body. We never set foot in that dang treehouse again and now it’s gone (good riddance! 😂😂).
