Better to Arrive Thursday or Friday??

DH and I are planning a trip to Vero (5 or 6 nights) next year in early May. Do you think our chances of getting a top floor 1 bedroom would be better Thursday or Friday? I keep thinking that lots of people check out on Friday to avoid the higher points, so it may be better to check in then. But in past years it seems like the weekends are really busy. We wouldn't be able to check in before 4, so maybe we'd be better off coming in on Thursday. Any thoughts?

I know when we stayed at SSR, the place seemed empty Friday and Saturday. It started to pick up Sunday as the day went on. I felt this was because of the points to stay on weekend. Not sure if Vero is the same. I would try and book what you want and then adjust if needed.
