Hi! Just joined the forum. I have been reading about DU and I am pretty positive we will be booking with them. I was wondering if anyone can recommend any particular TA. I was already quoted a price with Liz, would it be unethical/rude if we decided to change, based on recommendations?

Thanks!

Regina is my TA and I've been very happy with her. Very professional and excellent response time. My cousin has Donna and has been very satisfied with his experience. From what I've read, I don't think there is a bad one in the bunch. Good luck with your decision.:D

Our TA with Dreams is also Cathy... and Donna is also supposed to be great. My first contact did just happen to be Cathy, but from what I have heard, if you are cruise-only, then your booking will probably be assigned to one of them at that point? I know that Cathy is a Dreams - DCL cruise specialist. I would go ahead and email Liz, and ask her about this, and ask if somebody else will be your TA, she will let you know. Or maybe just mention that you did hear of DU and your desired TA thru a personal referral. Probably not to big of a deal.

I have not emailed a whole lot, but when I have, I have ALWAYS recieved a prompt response to any question! Cathy got us a particular Secret Porthole Room we wanted, by putting us on waitlist, and she changed our dinner request to late seating, requesting a 4top for our family alone, if possible. They really know how to handle these ressies with DCL.

Don't forget to ask about first-time-cruiser shipboard credit (code REF), and any other credits that you may be able to get!

Just to let you all know, all of the clients who are booked with cruises only will deal with both Donna and Cathy as their agent. Other agents assist with land/sea packages, but the "cruise onlies" go to Donna and Cathy as a general rule.

You won't go wrong with any of the agents. :)

And welcome to the Cruise Board, Mary! :)

We booked online directly through Disney. If we switch our reservation to DU, can we get the shipboard credit for Disney Club, or is that good only at the time of initial booking?

We booked our December cruise with Dreams and Cathy is our TA. She is wonderful! Very prompt with replies, and even gave me a "sneak peek" review of their Western cruise that they just went on! Donna also answered a question for me while Cathy was on this trip and she was very prompt and nice.

Pouncingpluto, yes, if your sailing is eligible for the Disney Club credit Dreams could have that applied for you, plus you would be eligible for a rebate with Dreams if you transfer. For more information you can write to webmaster@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com . :)

WE booked last year with Cathy and Sonja....WONDERFUL!!! We have a lot of "Sepcial" requirements with our DS being in a wheelchair etc. Cathy has been wonderful answering my questions, checking and double checking things for me "just to make sure". I started booking though AAA and I will never ever book with anyone but DU now....100% better....better prices, better service(never have had to wait more than a few hours for answeres to email questionS)

Add another DU happy client to the list, we booked the land/sea cruise last year and our travel consultant Michelle was fantastic, let's just say it was my b-day cruise and I had a couple of surprises that really made it the best vacation ever. No doubt that our next vacation will be booked through DU again!
