Where do you "re-stock" your wine/beer/pop/etc supply when in port? Stores within walking distance from the ship? I will update this post as information is supplied.

Thanks!

This is great! Will definitely use - wish I had resources to add. Might you add Mediterranean ports? :)

I don't have any to add at this point but I agree this is super helpful so I look forward to any additions!

Are you allowed to? I assumed since there's a limit to how much you can bring aboard that it was only on embarkation.

You can at each port. From the DCL website:

"Disney Cruise Line Guests 21 years and older may bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call. These beverages must be packed in carry-on (not checked) bags or luggage."

Thanks, I guess I missed that part!

That's certainly nice to be able to supplement it with cheaper port booze.

My husband likes to buy wine and sometimes liquor in port to take back home, assuming it’s more unique and a good price. Basically he just uses Google Maps to see what’s near the port. It helps if the store has a website that he can check inventory/prices (and if it's open the day we're there).

In Cozumel he tried to go to La Europea (https://www.laeuropea.com.mx/) which Google Maps unfortunately had in the wrong location (it's since been fixed). It's about a 9 minute walk from the port. It’s a national chain so likely available in many Mexican ports/cities. Unfortunately due to the Maps snafu he hasn't actually shopped at one yet. There's also one in Puerto Vallarta but it looks to be much further from the port.

In Nice, France he shopped at Nicolas (https://www.nicolas.com/). Also a national chain and he was pleased with their options, pricing, and ease of purchase. There is also one in Martinique, but much further from the port, so he did not visit that location.

We're planning on sailing to Progreso next January and he's eyeing a place called Cava del Duero (https://sur.cavadelduero.com) which is about a 5 minute walk from the bus terminal where the port shuttle drops off. It doesn’t look like there’s a La Europea nearby.

The 2 closest choices in Juneau (when we were there, our port spot was out of town, so we had to take a shuttle back and forth to the main tourist area. I don't know if Disney always parks there):

Alaska Cache Liquor
156 S Franklin St, Juneau, AK 99801
on the main road near the tourist shops

Percy's Liquor Store
214 Front St, Juneau, AK 99801
another block up and a left turn from the main road

Both have wine/beer, but I didn't buy anything.

We are heading out on an Alaskan cruise in a couple of weeks and are still looking for places to stock up on wine in: Icy Strait, Sitka and Ketchikan. Also, if folks have suggestions for other DCL ports (Caribbean, Bahama, etc), I will continue to update this list.

Smiles!
Kate
