Cake mixes Please HELP!!

Can someone tell me How many ounces is in a regular store bought Cake Mix???
I bought a 5lb. bag of cake mix but it doesn't have instructions for less than the whole bag!
I want to make the cake tonight. So, if you can help me quickly? TYIA!!

I just checked - each box is 18.25 oz net weight.

Also, how many cakes did it say the 5lbs would make, because that would be 80oz, but divided by 18.25 doesn't come out even.

So maybe try just 16oz and see if it looks like the right consistency.

Go with 18.25 to 19 oz. The 5 lb cake mixes are usually for large cakes--like wedding cakes, etc.
