Canadian Buffoon's Semi-EPIC Vacation - 10/29 - Link to new TR!

When it comes to the sanity club...
I'd say you're "In".

hahahah you've got me!

That's what we did for
the flight from YYZ - MCO.

It always awesome having the extra room.

A sigh of relief may have
escaped my lips.

My sigh of relief always comes when I am sitting in me seat.

Traveled a lot with him?

Yes! Every summer from about second grade to 9th grade. We also would go for some of the winter breaks and some random trips throughout the years.

And butter!
Never tried that... sounds good!
Congrats to Elle! :cheer2:
Thanks! I'll pass that along! :)
Never turn down a trip to Disney.
This is a truism. ::yes::
I've heard that one before.
Funny how that works.
Dad to the rescue!
I'm like Superman!
Except not as... everything.

Until you reminded yourself that you're going to Disney today. I hope that helped get you going.
::yes::
I would have worried too.
Yep.
But she showed up,
so it was all good.
Too late.
You didn't get my email a couple
of decades ago??

I would rather be too early than too late.
Yes! Definitely!
Elle looks happy and seeing no line makes me happy.
Happiness all around!
Something is wrong here. Why is your bag heavier?
All will be revealed.
Right????
She looks so happy! What's she reading? My eyes aren't as good as they use to be.
Wild at Heart
I'm disappointed for you.
It was a travesty and a tragedy.
She was just a weeee bit tired.
This whole part of your adventure has given me high anxiety. My heart is still pumping fast.
Mine was pumping pretty fast too.
The line was not moving nearly
as quickly as it needed to.
:goodvibes
Best first ride!
Sorry for the knock on the head. It's a good thing it saved your camera.
No lasting damage done to either.
@docsoliday1 to the rescue again!
Very much so!
This will be my third trip using Touringplans but I've never used the room request service. This doesn't give me a lot of confidence in it.
Well, my mistake was asking
for a ground floor.
They prioritized that.
I have had very good luck

with it in the past.
My daughter in law is a pescatarian too. We have to be careful when we choice restaurants too. Luckily we all like seafood.
We can't do that.
Well... not all of the family.
DW is allergic.

Makes for some interesting meals...
I love crabcakes!
These would've disappointed you, I think.
We call these hushpuppies down here.
Aren't hushpuppies just cornmeal?
These had conch (konk) inside them.
Yes I did!
;)

hahahah you've got me!
I'm hearing that as maniacal laughter.
It always awesome having the extra room.
::yes::
If I can't get the Plus seats,
I'll take the exit row.
Besides, if there's a fire...

"See ya suckahs!"
My sigh of relief always comes when I am sitting in me seat.
And that's when the plane
goes mechanical.

Not my planes...

Other, inferior airlines.
Yes! Every summer from about second grade to 9th grade. We also would go for some of the winter breaks and some random trips throughout the years.
So... with all that...
Did you ever complain?
"But I just want to stay home!"

And...
Did you see it?

I'm here!! Not promising how much, stupid work. But how exciting that you bought your own airline!!

Kim

And...
Did you see it?

I'm here!! Not promising how much, stupid work. But how exciting that you bought your own airline!!

Kim
Kim!!

Hi!
:welcome: to the TR!

Wait.. you mean you
don't have your own airline???

I'm here! As per usual, won't be very chatty. But, I'll throw in one more vote for brown sugar being needed on oatmeal.

Uh, huh.
Like you aren't when your
little girl bats her eyes at you.

Deny it if you can!

Guilty as charged. Especially if Disney is involved. Then I'm just begging for excuses to go.

Or Get Smart.
(Unless that's before your time.)

I'm more familiar with the Steve Carell version. Which is highly underrated.

You noticed that did you?

It seems to come up from time to time.

What?

Nah. I can go there anytime.
It's only a 480 mile drive.

Which is like half a day for you. Only reason I know Flin Flon is it's the home of Bobby Clarke.

Oh, no. You'll note it says you
can't take your pot out of the country.
You can take it anywhere you want

while you're in paradise.

I was wondering what all that smog was up north.

Only the absolute best of mediocrity.

mediocritylitho.png

It's been done.
Death by 1,000 cuts.

Cuticle scissors. ::yes::

:scared:

Nope. It was only about
$8,000.

Uh...

I have no idea what you're

talking about.

I'm sure you immediately spent it all in a Disney gift shop anyway.

And the part in my hair
just doesn't look right.

Do you really think it matters?

3 decades goes by so
quickly these days!

;)

404115

I know you may not get that reference, but...

"regular" is why you
eat it in the first place!

This is true EXCEPT at Disney!

Well... there was also another reason.
You can PM me if you really want to know.
I won't post it on an open forum.

And I did pay for most of the trip,
which is why Elle had to suck it up

while I met with a few people.

PMing...

Because Alaska is farther North.
The farther you go, the more
expensive it gets. ;)

:rolleyes2

You know when parents stop
worrying about their kids?

Never.

Correct. It's a full time job... even after they move out.

I'm not Jennifer!

After a week of Disney, I wish I could be her- party or not.

Um... except Toronto is
East of Winnipeg....

I meant EAST! :sad2:

Is that the thing that the
camera sits on top of?

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Especially at the bus stops.

Well... for most people.

I am just one of the peon masses.

Never tried that... sounds good!

It is! But I think Southerners like butter on just about everything.

I'm like Superman!
Except not as... everything.
Maybe more like :tink:?

Yep.
But she showed up,
so it was all good.

Sounds like she's growing up.

You didn't get my email a couple
of decades ago??

I don't think there was such a thing as email before I had my first.

All will be revealed.

I'm on pins and needles.

Wild at Heart

I read the synopsis. Sounds interesting.

Mine was pumping pretty fast too.
The line was not moving nearly
as quickly as it needed to.

I'm right there with you. I would have been nervous and irritated.

No lasting damage done to either.

Good to hear.

Well, my mistake was asking
for a ground floor.
They prioritized that.
I have had very good luck

with it in the past.

Ok, so what should I ask for first? I have standard pool view reserved. I want to be on an upper floor but I want the 50s section. Ask for 50's first or upper floor?

We can't do that.
Well... not all of the family.
DW is allergic.

Makes for some interesting meals...

That does sound complicated.

These would've disappointed you, I think.
[/QUOTE
I'll keep that in mind.

Aren't hushpuppies just cornmeal?
These had conch (konk) inside them.

This is true. Most hushpuppies include the holy trinity (onions, bell peppers & celery) saute in butter. See I told you we like butter.

I'm usually more of a lurker, but I enjoy reading your trip reports! I had to chime in and let you know that I almost "fangirled" out on you earlier this month when I was a couple of people behind you in line at Rip Ride and Rock It in Universal Studios. :rotfl2:I managed to maintain my composure, though. Hope you had a great time.

That would be nice as well. Maybe when I hit the lottery. But I think you actually have to buy tickets for that to happen. :-( Pesky rules.

Kim
I'm in the same boat.
I don't do lottery tickets.
I know how to do math.

Guilty as charged. Especially if Disney is involved. Then I'm just begging for excuses to go.

::yes::

I'm more familiar with the Steve Carell version. Which is highly underrated.

The Don Adams (original, TV) version
was even better.
There were so many nods to the

TV show in the movie!

It seems to come up from time to time.

Hold on a second.

What are we talking about?

What?

what?

what?

what?

Which is like half a day for you. Only reason I know Flin Flon is it's the home of Bobby Clarke.

Also of Josiah Flintabbatey Flonatin.
The great submariner.

I was wondering what all that smog was up north.
Breathe in that "fresh" air, folks!
I'm sure you immediately spent it all in a Disney gift shop anyway.
That's not enough to buy
anything, there.

Do you really think it matters?
[/QUOTE]
perfect...

Well, hi there!

Hi there! I was actually here yesterday but was on my phone a lunch break and didn't have time to start quoting.

Which is why I put brown sugar
on oatmeal.

Each to their own I suppose. On work days I have porridge but with raisins.

Elle is graduating this spring
with her first degree.

Congratulations to Elle. Well done!

Don't have kids, folks.
You heard it here first.

Now you tell me!

Car loaded, and our bleary
selves loaded, we headed out
and arrived at the airport
at 3am, two hours ahead
of flight time.

Ouch! Not a good flight time! Hannah is just about to experience her first 12.5 hour night shift which I don't envy.

By now, she'd been up for
almost 24 hours.

I remember doing that but we had the excuse of crossing the Atlantic!

Who else loves taking this
when they arrive in Florida?

Me!

Old Key West!

We've stayed there will be interested in your thoughts.

Did you see it?

I did - your branding has gone all upmarket!

I'm hearing that as maniacal laughter.

Guilty as charged.

::yes::
If I can't get the Plus seats,
I'll take the exit row.
Besides, if there's a fire...

"See ya suckahs!"

Exactly, close the door behind you and be done with it...I mean, open the door and run and jump.

So... with all that...
Did you ever complain?
"But I just want to stay home!"

When I was about 8/9 I never wanted to leave my mom home alone because I felt like she would miss us too much...and I missed her a lot.

Then around 14 I stopped going because travel basketball and basketball camps occupied my time in the summer.

I know you may not get that reference, but...
Well... while I've been familiar with
the movie for over 40 years...
And I saw the new version when
it came out...
I don't know if I've ever watched it
start to finish.
I'm gonna go with... no.

But I am very familiar with the song. :)
This is true EXCEPT at Disney!
True!
Answered!
Correct. It's a full time job... even after they move out.
yep.
After a week of Disney, I wish I could be her- party or not.
:lmao:
I meant EAST! :sad2:
Could've been worse. Coulda said North.
I am just one of the peon masses.
Sorry. I don't give out my
VIP bus pass willy nilly.

It is! But I think Southerners like butter on just about everything.
We'd get along fine, then.
Butter on everything!

Maybe more like :tink:?
Hey. Listen.
I would rock that off the shoulder
dress/mini skirt.

Tinkerbill has nothing on me!
Sounds like she's growing up.
::yes::
It's amazing what changes have
been wrought over the last year
or two.

I don't think there was such a thing as email before I had my first.
Well, that explains why you
didn't get it.

I read the synopsis. Sounds interesting.
I've read it.
It's interesting.

I'm right there with you. I would have been nervous and irritated.
::yes::
Ok, so what should I ask for first? I have standard pool view reserved. I want to be on an upper floor but I want the 50s section. Ask for 50's first or upper floor?
What's your priority?
The last time I stayed at ASMU,
I used the room finder to locate
the block of exact rooms I wanted.
I listed them in order of priority.

I got my first pick.

That does sound complicated.
Nah. Not so bad. :)
This is true. Most hushpuppies include the holy trinity (onions, bell peppers & celery) saute in butter. See I told you we like butter.
 yes you did!
