Cancelled sea day - Brunch reservations

What happens if sea days are cancelled and rearranged?

We are on a Caribbean East in September and with hurricane season in full swing there is a chance of the cruise being routed to the West. Right now we have brunch on the last of 3 sea days and wondering do they just cancel your brunch then? Or will they hold it but it will be on a port day?

Wondering if its worth trying to snag a brunch on sea days 1/2 instead of 3 to protect ourselves.

I have not activities cancelled when they change the route. I have had them add in activities.

They canceled Cozumel on us once. They just canceled that port day; it had no impact on sea days or other port days. They did add stuff for the canceled day, but I can't recall if they added any dining options.

We were on the Magic in Europe and one of our tender ports was cancelled and they added a mew port instead. Our sea day brunch was moved to the new sea day.

Ya this issue here is they would possibly taking a sea day and making it a port day possibly.

Completely changing up the route (eastern to western) is unusual. It involves port schedules for docking, and many ports don’t necessarily have empty berths waiting for ships. It can happen, but more likely just a port stop or two get cancelled and become at-sea days.

In 2017, we had an Eastern switched to a modified Western (Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Costa Maya in place of the normal Falmouth) due to extensive hurricane damage on both St Thomas and Tortola. We were notified two months out from the cruise, though we had been anticipating it for a while as two cat 5 storms had gone through and there was just no way the islands would be viable to accepting cruise ships so quickly.

Even though it was past PIF, people in our cruise's FB group who called DCL were given the opportunity to move their cruise to a different date if desired with no penalty [beyond any fare differences].

This is what the notification message we were sent said about port adventures and onboard acitivites:

Port Adventures that were pre-reserved in Tortola and St. Thomas will automatically be removed from your cruise activities, while those for Castaway Cay will remain as scheduled. Likewise, pre-reserved onboard activities like Palo Brunch, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and beverage tastings are being adjusted to fit this revised itinerary. Should you wish to explore Port Adventure opportunities featured on this revised itinerary, please visit the My Cruise Activities section of our website at www.disneycruise.com on Thursday, when all of the shore excursions and onboard activities are expected to be available on the site.

Hope this helps.
