Western cruisers:

We would like to schedule the Capt Marvins trip that requires a 9:15 check in. I have no experience with tendering and wonder if this is possible in the time frame. I understand it is not a Disney excursion and we will not be given priority.

Any experience or advice out there?
Thanks!

We were on the 11/23 sailing and if we had booked the 9:15 Captain Marvins trip, we would have missed it. This is because the Cayman officials did not want to let us dock due to the virus. Since it appears that the numbers are dropping, although you know the real numbers are higher than what DCL is reporting, then maybe there would be a chance you could make the 9:15. We did a 10AM hakf day and even with the delay had no trouble. If you're lucky you may even get Captain Marvin himself. He's still doing trips and 80-some years of age.

Whoever you get, they are a first-class operation and the Cayman snorkeling is world class.

Other Dis'ers have posted they have made the earlier Capt. Marvins and were able to get on the first tender. They just showed up in the theatre at the appropriate time and got onboard, even though they were not on a DCL excursion that left early.
