Christmas Lights

We will be bring our own table top tree for our grandsons to decorate at SSR
I do not know if this is the correct place to post this.
Can we put lights on our railing with cable ties?
I don't want to do anything that is frowned upon or not allowed!

Disney policy is that they do not want anything put up that is viewable from the exterior of the room, front door or patio/balcony.

That being said, you will notice that others will still do it and Disney doesn't like to confront guests so you will still see some decorated exteriors.
