It happens a lot. Just hit the report button on one of the threads and ignore them. One of the moderators will take care of it.

It happens in the morning just after the boards come back up. I report one and move on.

For me the boards go down every day between 9am and 11am approx Irish / UK time. This spam attack happens every day when the boards come back. When I open up DIS soon after it comes back online and theres spam everywhere, I just close down and come back about 30 minutes later.

Sometimes I have found the spam attack happens about 30 minutes before the boards go offline at around 8.30am my local time.

As the spam gets through around the time the boards go offline and come back online, its my guess that its something to do with the maintenance mode being enabled and disabled and the spam defences being opened due to this.

Could be different reasons, and most are not good. It's best not to even open the message. You can report the person without opening their message. Just click on the screen name.
