Cruise Specialist?

I am posting this in both cruise boards as I am not partial to any cruise company at the moment.

We have decided to take a cruise for our 15 year anniversary and I am at a loss on where to even start! Does anyone have a cruise specialist that they use on a regular basis that they can recommend?

We are thinking of doing Hawaii but like I said, I have no idea where to start!

I do not think we can recommend any particular TA on the forum. If you go to www.cruisecritic.com , the site has tons of information and a great forum. You already have a good start by thinking about a destination. NCL has the only ship dedicated to circling the islands. The ship is US flagged, so it does not have to go to a foreign port. Other ships that come from the west coast make port in Canada or Mexico even if they originate form a US port. You should have a good idea of how much you want to spend and what activities or tours you want to do. Be sure to visit the web sites of the cruise companies as well. I have never cruised Hawaii, but have visited the islands many times. IMO, a cruise will give you a great taste of the islands, but will not give you the time you need to really enjoy the wonders and beauty of the islands. I also suggest that instead of a tour on each island, you research and decide what you want to see and then rent a car. Except for Honolulu area, the roads are easy to navigate.

We just need to put the URL of the company. That way the filters can pick up an agency that has done something to get themselves blocked.

Obivously Dreams Unlimited doesn't need the URL since they own the Dis LOL. Many have been happy with them, and it's because they started booking Royal cruises that this board exists.

I, however, am happy to use www.costcotravel.com. For Royal they give OBC (for Disney they send a giftcard after the cruise instead of OBC) and I like that. I don't need handholding, so using them is good for me.

I've been very happy with my travel agent but unfortunately I cannot mention their name on the forum. Personally I like using a TA and letting them do all the research for me based on my parameters.
