DAH Crowd question?

As far as crowds go... If we weren't planning on attending the DAH event is it better to avoid the park altogether that day or might crowds be lower early in the day due to the event that evening? Thank you.

Generally, event day crowds tend to be lower because people don't want to waste money buying a park ticket for only part of a day. But this is not set in stone.

You appear to be referring to the Halloween & Christmas parties, but the OP was asking about Disney After Hours events. Disney After Hours events do not effect park hours. They are held after normal park closing with normal nighttime entertainment happening. They generally have no effect on daytime crowds.

with DAH from around 7pm to park close there may a noticeable up tick in crowds due to mix in for the event…

The DAH ticket holders are such a small, select amount of guests, it has very little impact on crowds since the event is held after the park closes. DAH ticket holders can enter the park as early as 7pm usually but not all do and again, it's a very limited amount of guests so they're easily absorbed into the park. EEH and actual special event parties would have more impact on crowds than DAH.

We've been to many After Hours events and have never noticed a difference in daytime crowds. Daytime crowds for the holiday parties do tend to drop a bit during the day and ramp up during the parties.

Has anyone seen any guesstimates on attendance? I know Disney doesn't release the info, but surely someone has extrapolated the data...?..?
