DAS & Quiet places

Hi all,

I have decided to go to Disneyland, 2 months from now. I have used DAS for the last time in WDW in 2022. I did the pre-registration via videocall 30 days in advance. Do I need to be aware of any changes in the process, or specific things I need to know when requesting DAS for DL?

Finally, what are your favorite quiet places to take a break? Found this pdf and this thread, but maybe there are new favorites.

Thank you for all your help!

As far as I know from the last time we requested a DAS at DL, the process is the same. You can either do the video call or request one when you get to either of the two parks.

As for quiet places, our son loved going to the Main Street Cinema and could stay there for ages. Dark, not usually crowded, and air conditioned!

Atnight, my favorite place is the Sanctum area of Avengers Campus. Dark and hardly any people. Also the walkway between Cars Land and Avengers Campus. There are several places to sit there.

We like to hang out at the tables near harbour galley for a quiet spot. We also like to sit here if we can snag a seat. It’s not really shady though.

There's a little walkway behind Harbor Galley that hardly anyone goes on. When Splash Mountain is running, you can see people just after they've gone down the steep drop and they're all wet and laughing. 😁

That's a link to a photo of the walkway on Google Maps.

My (now adult) son who has autism has always loved hanging out in the upstairs area at Hungry Bear. We usually end up getting a meal there at least once per trip. and he chooses a table with a view of the trains going by. It can get busy up there during meal times, but a lot of the time it's quiet and relatively uncrowded. He and I aren't Splash Mountain fans so we usually get a snack or a drink and chill up there while everyone else rides it.

Thanks everyone for the great tips! I'll take a list with me 😀

A bit anxious to have 5 park days by myself again, last time was in 2014. Being with someone else helps me to remember taking breaks and to go at a slower pace. But it'll be fine. :)

You’ll be fine..to me, it’s so much more relaxing when I am alone. No pressure to go here or there, you can rest when you want, even leave if you want. It’s my special getaway for myself
