DCL dropping pre Cruise testing.

Well, logically it really didn't make much sense once they had removed the requirement for vaccinated guests. Just because you're vaccinated doesn't mean you can't or wont get it, nor that you can't or wont spread it. So testing only those that had not been vaccinated really didn't prevent COVID from getting onto the ship.

That same letter also says they will ENFORCE PAT even to get into the parking garage.

Please be aware that Guests will not be permitted at the terminal or in parking areas before their scheduled arrival time.

They were still testing everyone for Bermuda, so I'm glad I went on that one!

Wow, so our Fantasy 11/6-11/12 is last one with testing required? Same thing happened to me travelling to Spain this past summer. Our final day in Barcelona before coming home was last day testing was required to return to U.S.! I went from being super nervous at clinic for testing to wondering what the big deal was!

Do we think this means online check in will go back to what it was or will we still need to upload our photos and documents and do safe passage?

So I assume this means safe passage is no longer.
DCL website was just updated to state "For sailings through November 13, 2022, in order to sail, Guests ages 18 and older must individually create an account associated with their reservation(s) on the Inspire Diagnostics Safe Passage website and upload their proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID-19 test results no later than midnight prior to their sail date."

After that, it appears you won't have to upload proof. I had just checked the website this morning, and it was still showing previous requirement, so I pulled out our vaccination cards. Back they go into the file!

The letter I received from DCL does give the option to cancel: Guests booked on sailings departing from the U.S. November 14, 2022, through January 31, 2023, may modify or cancel their sailing by November 13, 2022 without any Disney-imposed cancellation fees. Please visit us online for details on how to cancel or modify your booking. Please note that change fees and cancellation fees imposed by third-party suppliers, such as airlines and hotels, as well as travel insurance, are not refundable. Refunds will be processed back to the original form of payment. Standard cancellation policies and terms and conditions apply for any cancellation or modification requests received on or after November 14, 2022.

All of us at Disney Cruise Line look forward to welcoming you aboard soon. We are reaching out with important updates to the COVID-19 testing requirements for your sailing.

Beginning November 14, 2022, for sailings departing from the United States, Disney Cruise Line will no longer require Guests (regardless of vaccination status) to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to sailing. Disney Cruise Line continues to highly recommend that all Guests be fully vaccinated and encourages unvaccinated Guests to take a COVID-19 test two days prior to sailing.

We are in the process of waiting for Safe Passage approval of out vaccine card. I wonder if that is being cancelled and that is why it is still pending.

It is interesting that nowhere in the email does it specifically state that Safe Passage goes away after the 14th. Just the testing requirement. Obviously if you are unvaccinated and don't have to test there are no documents to upload, but yet again they aren't as clear or concise as they could be the way they present the change. Maybe they are trying to avoid confusion for the people sailing before 14th that still need to do it?
