I again reached out to Andriana yesterday and today, and asked what happen to Cj and if she was still planning to go to Hawaii for work. Here is what she just wrote back to me.

"Hi Randall! Sorry I’ve been really busy with the lab. He had multi organ failure and sepsis so there was no way to recover from it. And yes I’m still going to Hawaii in about a month!"

Wow. That sounds.... not good. Was he ill?

Bad news is I was violently ill this week.The good news I am almost back to normal.

Bonus good news is my waitlist moving me from the Boardwalk to the Poly for DDC came through.

Dan, sorry to hear about the trip. Rome is not a bad consolation prize.

Mark, safe travels and enjoy the trip. Hope the Kingdom survives Drew's first visit.

Was so bad I almost went to the ER. Felt a bit better the next morning so toughed it out. Getting a little better each day. Light solid food today.

Usually, this is a place where it is unlikely anyone I know would " track me down" and find a message where I am bragging of something before it happens.

But in *this* case, with the particular news I'm waiting to share, I have to wait, because it is actually a public forum.

So sad. SWMBO was in the hospital at Easter with Sepsis and again a month later. Had to bring in the infectious disease specialist from the big city to try to find an antibiotic that would work. It can come on quick and isn't anything to be taken lightly. Don't ignore infections especially as you get older.

Happy Tuesday. Another long day at work, but productive enough.

There was an article from Motley Fool, highlighting a PEW study that said American wages today are equal to 1974, taking into account the cost increases for products, executive pay, and miniscule increase of worker wages. The conclusion was that the $4/ hour then is equivalent to the $23/ hour today. Yeah, I feel that.

Another buddy died the same way.

Glad she is still moving forward.
