It turns out I should have been a travel agent. I've never had so much fun planning anything in my life!!

Background:
I'm a single mom systems admin about to go to Disney in 40 days to marry the love of my life. He is an amazing man, who is taking his first vacation in 12 years - quitting his job 4 days before we go! I have a diva-cheerleader-princess who is 10. I also have a tomboy-gamer who is in puberty 12 ;)
I've had SO much fun finding a balance keeping in mind my kids are total opposites, we've never BEEN on a trip together, much less to Disney World! AND we're from Canada, so Florida in August might actually kill us :lmao:

Here are the plans. Yes, they are insane. Any good tips?? I'm open to critique! We're on the DDP, staying at ASMu. It you make it to the end, I salute you - lots of planning so far but need thumbs up from people in the know!

My tomboy is an animal FREAK (prefers them to people HA!) thus the extra AK time for her.
Lots of time to chill on a/c buses as well :) Poor sweaty Canadians!

SO many logistical problems:
is 6:45am early enough to catch a bus to MK to transfer to Poly?
Can I check out at 6:30 am or 1:30pm?
Will we sleep during a siesta? hehehehe
Will it rain the morning of the wedding and throw off ALL plans - wedding can be done any of the 3 mornings following if the flight can't happen, but hair and makeup? ACK! And plans!!
Will we actually eat that much?
I want facepaint the morning of our AK breakie!! Is that enough time to do it?? I'm all about the pictures :)
Too much planning?
Will we love the hot air balloon?? (never been in one!!)

Advice? Bad ideas? Tips? Help???

:bride:

Thanks in advance!!

Fiancee, love of my life, adopted by my daughters as "one of us" - but said in a Borg style voice! He has been a taxi driver (nights) for 8 years, hasn't had a vacation in 12

Me! 6am woke up to a princess-ed out house and accessories!!:

My blonde is 10, a total diva, poser, cheerleader, with an awesome attitude and willing to try anything once. She is a social butterfly.

My blue eyed exotic beauty is actually a hard core gamer, tom boy, 12 going on 21 BUT not into dating (thank goodness). Loves to read and draw, prefers animals to *most* people

He is such a good sport. At this point he has been up for over 24 hours, and still managed to enjoy a quick birthday breakfast. He has the patience of a saint, a great heart, and is a boy version of me so we get along better than wine and chocolate!

We don't have many together pictures - my #3 goal of the great Disney wedding expedition!

Us in a nutshell, living in northwest Ontario. Never had a vacation together, but 4 days before we leave he is done with work, to return to school in September!!

We are SO excited - we planned this to be the great big trip! First of many to Disney :wizard: AND get married while we are there!! ....

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptuals. My wife and I spent our Honeymoon at Disney in 2006. I saw one thing that will cause a problem...The HDD is at Fort Wilderness Campground not the Wilderness Lodge. With a trip this long you have plenty of time so don't rush and take time to feel all the magic that is going on around you. Take time to watch parades and to visit resorts other than the one you are staying in. Disney World is such an awesome place but sometimes people rush to much and miss a lot of great things

I meant the campground. From what I get, you get off the boat and POOF the HDD is right there yes?

I plan on making some staff friends my first day to help me find my way around. Almost like tipping a bartender $20 on your first drink :rotfl2:
