hi all, wondering if someone knows how much you pay for disabled park passes. When we booked we where told we'd be best to puchase them when we got their are the disabled person gets a reduced rate and thier carer gets in free but am not sure how much we need to budget for this.

Any advice would be greatfully recieved and also has anyone ever purchased their park passes this way is it only the disability blue badge we need to bring with us ?? :goodvibes

We've never purchased disabled tickets as we've always booked a package direct. We have used the disabled passes for rides though; a blue badge would be perfectly suitable for that, so I imagine it will be suitable for the entry ticket as well.

We tend to use our disability benefits book, which works perfectly well too. A doctor's note would probably also work.

thanks for your advice. Our daughters benefits gets paid directly into our bank so unfortunally we dont have a book for them but she does have a blue badge so we will take that with us. She also carries two medical letters so am sure that will be adiqute enough...

lol its all the last minute panicing ... ;)

So does DB's now I believe, we're just lucky enough to have an old benefits book lying around which the parks seem to happily accept :thumbsup2

The blue badge cannot be used for entry. It's for an Easy Access Card for once you're inside the park. You still need to purchase the tickets. They are generally a 10% discount on disabled tickets and yes...the carer gets in for free. Generaly the Easy Access Card gives the advantage that you don't have to wait on line as long if you have difficulty standing on the gueue for long periods of time.

Also, if you do not have the blue badge then you need to have a doctors note or a medical letter dated within 3 months of the day you arrive. But if you have the blue badge, then you should be fine.

We have APs and my mother's is a disabled one, but we were never told about a carer is free - we bought all the APs together and have renewed them since then. Would we have to get a entry ticket each time we visited or how can we find out more?
