If you have an annual pass to SeaWorld then in the latest Passportal it has discounts

with the Dolphin Swim Package

without the Dolphin Swim Package

so I am going for the first time - but I think I want to see others do the Dolphin Swim before I commit to it. So next week we are going the Non-Dolphin Swim.

Are pastport discounts usual for DC? Or is this something new or seasonal?

The dolphin swim is worth the $100, but not necessary.
That $100 can buy lots of fish food to feed the dolphins at the Key West area. You'll be part of the action as your kids go for the swim. You're only about 20 yards away, and you can take pictures from the rocks.

I've been once, and if we go back, we'll probably let the kid do the swim while we watch. We'll definately stay at the Renaissance Resort during July 4th holiday. It's the best.
Walk to SWF from the hotel. Club level has great food to eat.
