The price of lot of things at Disney may be on the high side, I do have to say that Disney’s prices on the campgrounds are extremely fair. Based on what I have researched, even though you can stay at some hotels off property for cheaper, Fort Wilderness provides a whole bunch of amenities you will never find at an average Joe RV park and the average Joe hotel (some included and some for an extra fee) such as:
1. Street sweeping service on the roads within the park.
2. Campsite is swept, hosed, and cleaned between guests (equivalent to hotel housekeeping)
3. Free transportation to Disney parks and other Disney resorts and Disney Springs (only RV park where you can take free unlimited relaxing boat rides to the Magic Kingdom and back, plus access the monorail after taking the boat to Magic Kingdom).
4. They have horse and carriage rides.
5. They have onsite restaurants and convenience stores
6. They have a huge swimming pool with slides
7. They have movie nights and also live performances and shows
8. They provide security
9. The same perks at Disney theme parks as many Disney hotel and resort guests have such as early park entry at all four Disney theme parks (valid park tickets or pass and park reservations for each park you wish to visit are required for admission and entry). I strongly recommend purchasing your tickets or passes and booking your park reservations as well as if you or a family member traveling with you (such as your child) have a legitimate diagnosed documented disability and a compelling need for the DAS system as a result, apply for that online as well via the virtual chat (you or the family member who the DAS is for can pre-select two ride return times per day via the virtual chat if approved (in addition to the one at a time in park ride return time)) way ahead of time. Remember that the DAS system is only for those who have a legitimate, compelling need for it and is not to be used as a luxury and for personal convenience (the DAS system is not for those who do not wish to stand in the traditional standby line (that is what Genie Plus and Lightning Lane is for)). Mobility conditions alone are not eligible for the DAS system.
10. And much more. It is a place to make some lifelong memories and not just a place to park your rig and sleep.
