Disney golf cart rental as a resort afternoon - good or bad idea?

We have always wanted to visit the fort but never made it over. I would like to rent a golf cart for the afternoon turning it back in that evening.

1. Is that possible?
2. Can you park a golf cart at Trails End?
3. Will some people have Christmas decorations up the week before thanksgiving?
4. Do they usually rent out way in advance?

1. yes
2. yes
3. yes, we left on Nov 11th one year and there were new decorations going up everyday.
4. yes, but you can make a reservation.
Have a great time, the weather is typically great and the crowds not too bad.

Yes, Brett you can do this.

Golf carts can be rented for daily increments only (no hourly rates) which are generally tied to the check-in/check-out times.

There is plenty of golf cart parking down by TE (enhance the evening by eating at TE for dinner?).

Some Christmas decorations will be out in November. You might see some fall/Scarecrow type decorations too.

Usually the only time they rent out all the carts is around the holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years). It always helps to make a reservation "just in case". The golf carts are picked up at the Fort Check-in building out back off Vista Boulevard. They are returned here and if a CM is not there to hand the key to, there is a key drop box nearby.

Stay and do the Chip & Dale Campfire Singalong and movie the night you are there? C&D come out at 7pm and movie rolls about 740pm. This is in the area in the center of the Fort near the Meadow Trading Post and pool.

Thanks to you both. And yes Ed we definitely planned on staying for C&D and maybe even the movie. Looking forward to it!

    1. Is that possible? YEP
    2. Can you park a golf cart at Trails End? YEP
    3. Will some people have Christmas decorations up the week before thanksgiving? MAYBE
    4. Do they usually rent out way in advance? WAY-WAY-WAY IN ADVANCE

    NOTE:
We stay in cabins often, and ALWAYS rent a cart.
It is a nice way to get around, but better way to visit and view campsites.

We did this our last trip. We were actually tent camping but needed to leave early the next morning for the parks so we just got one for the afternoon. My kids were so surprised and we all had a blast. We just toured the fort, went to Hoop dee doo for dinner and then to chip and dale. We finished the night up watching fireworks before returning the cart. It was money well spent in our opinion.

We have some friends coming down for a week in Dec. and we did just that. We have reservations at Trails End and rented a cart for the day. Going resort hopping during the day and then dinner. After dinner we're going to tour the loops to see the Christmas decorations.
