Launchpad & Scrooge’s meeting areas have been stripped down and replaced by wilderness explorer booths at least as of April

Walt Disney World Character News: Mirabel Debuting, Favorites Returning ​

Let’s kick things off with some exciting news for Magic Kingdom Park. We may not talk about Bruno, but we can definitely talk about Mirabel making her debut in the “Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade” on June 26! The young hero from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ hit film “Encanto” will join Miguel from “Coco,” Nick and Judy from “Zootopia,” Max, Goof, Moana and more as this super-sized cavalcade winds through the park several times each day.

Looking ahead to July, the always iconic Minnie Mouse will join Mickey Mouse starting on July 6 in Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom Park. Both will be ready for hugs and photos in their EARidescent fashions designed specifically for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration!

July 6 also marks the return of Chip ‘N Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, where you can join the nutty friends for a campfire celebration followed by a classic Disney movie under the stars.

Then, on July 10, keep an eye out for familiar Fantasyland friends Peter Pan and Snow White as they greet guests at Magic Kingdom Park once again.

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Star Wars Launch Bay returns July 17! A celebration of the legendary space saga, Star Wars Launch Bay is your place for a warm embrace with Chewbacca, a face-to-droid encounter with BB-8 or a run-in with Darth Vader himself for those brave enough.

And those are just the next few weeks! We have even more fun, hugs and memories on the horizon. In the coming months, a visit to Magic Kingdom Park will bring chances to meet Aladdin, Jasmine, Merida, Pooh, Tigger and Storybook Circus pals like The Great Goofini in Pete’s Silly Sideshow. Your favorite toys will be ready for playtime in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Donald Duck and friends will rejoin their prehistoric party at “Donald’s Dino-Bash!” in DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

These exciting character encounters add to the many terrific offerings returning across Walt Disney World Resort, including Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue stomping into Pioneer Hall June 23, and Harmony Barber Shop creating magical memories on Main Street once again beginninng July 31.

Details on additional return dates will be shared as they become available

Dh was convinced we should stay at an all star this fall for the Halloween party but after seeing chip and dale returning we may be at the cabins again! Ds loved the campfire there

Disney World Reduces Finding Nemo Showtimes Through June 27th

Disney World has updated its schedule to reflect a reduction in showtimes for Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond! through Monday, June 27th. Here’s the latest:

Now – June 27

• 11:30am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm

Starting June 28th

• 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm

A question about the campfires and movies.... Do you need to bring chairs and/or blankets or are seats provided?

There are metal benches there like bleachers so you don’t have to bring chairs or blankets but if you want to stay for awhile it would probably be more comfortable

Disney Testing ‘Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters’ MagicBand+ Game in Disney’s Hollywood Studios​

Disney is now testing the MagicBand+ “Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters” game in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

A “private” sign was up at an entrance between the planters. Guests have been selected to test MagicBand+.

Cast Members were explaining the game to guests and getting feedback.

The guests were given “Star Wars” versions of MagicBand+ for the test that looked similar to the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser bands. They were not Starcruiser guests, however. We were told the game would open at the end of summer, which lines up with the announced timeframe for the release of MagicBand+.

had so much fun with the late hours tonight!!!

Peeked in at Tron one more time while DD hopped on Space before park close and looked like work going on at 1 am. Walkway has made progress since we arrived in MK on Sunday from what I can tell.

Love the look of Tron at night, adds to the ambiance nicely from afar giving the land a futuristic feel instead of dark space.
Also saw Nemo this morning, still cute. GotG on monday was awesome. I'm not a huge coaster person, but love that one. DD likes it better than Rise and says might have the edge over Hagrids.
