Festively Fun Offerings

Guests will be immersed in a fa-boo-lously fun Halloween atmosphere. Autumnal Halloween decorations and pumpkins will adorn Main Street, U.S.A. and Frontierland. And as you walk around the park, Mickey Mouse and other classic Disney characters will be out wearing their Halloween outfits. Disney Villains will be out in full force too — brave guests are invited to meet them, if they dare!

The Halloween cavalcade will also return to the park! Happening daily at Disneyland Park, this cavalcade is full of joy, colors and an infectious beat that will get all guests dancing. With a show stop on Central Plaza, right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, it’s the perfect chance to join in the frightful fun of the season. Stay tuned to learn more about Disney Halloween festival experiences.

No celebration is complete without merchandise and this year is no different. Dedicated Halloween merch will be available in select boutiques throughout the resort. We’ve heard there will be tasty food offerings too — hold on tight for that news, foolish mortals!

Ghoulish Ghosts at Phantom Manor

While we wait in anticipation for the Halloween season, there’s year-round ghoulishly good fun to enjoy too! Tucked away in a corner of Frontierland stands Phantom Manor where the chilly, eerie atmosphere of the crumbling old mansion is the perfect setting for the fun-filled mystery that awaits. When leaving Phantom Manor, don’t miss the little cemetery of Boot Hill! This small cemetery, located adjacent to the attraction lies the final resting place of the manor’s previous owners, Henry and Martha Ravenswood.

1. Snap Perfectly Petrifying Photos

What better way to preserve the memory of Halloween than with photos? Every year, the resort transforms thanks to enchanting Halloween-themed décor, including an opulent social wall! A popular Halloween selfie must include Mickey and his friends, or Duffy and Friends, in their Halloween outfits. Find them on Mickey Avenue or in Donald’s Halloween Treat Cavalcade.

Another fan favorite shot involves the Disney villains, who make special appearances during the Halloween celebrations. During last year’s Halloween Spook-tacular Extravaganza, the Halloween Villains Fireworks Show made for a striking showcase of the Disney Villains. A perfect backdrop for your scary fun selfie!

4. Venture Down to Disneytown!

The fun doesn’t end at Shanghai Disneyland — Disneytown is where it’s at! In past years, the Disneytown Halloween Tour brought a fun DIY dress-up workshop and Trick-or-Treat Parade for a fantastic Treat-or-Treat experience for the whole family and kids of all ages. Additionally, the resort’s two hotels offered the perfect Halloween getaway experience with an array of ghoulish displays, limited-time foods and other fun offerings that enticed guests to stay for a spell!

Talk about a missed revenue opportunity. I'm willing to bet folks would pay to take a sledgehammer to those barges.

Folks pay to paint a little square on a wall. I'm sure folks would pay for a commemorative ratchet and the ability to take part of the barge down.

Man - I guess I just didn't have those strong feelings about them. They weren't ideal, but I did like the show.

5 Blasts from Halloweens Past at Tokyo Disney Resort

This Halfway to Halloween, we’re thrilled to share the return of “Disney Halloween” at Tokyo Disney Resort from September 15 to October 31, 2023. As we wait in anticipation for the most wonderful season of all — at least according to us Halloween lovers — we are looking back on our favorite blasts from the past at Tokyo Disney Resort. While these festive parades, mystical merch and more have long since passed, we invite you to take a stroll with us down memory lane!

1. Put on Your Dancing Shoes with “Halloween Pop ‘n Live”

Premiered for the first time in 2016, “Halloween Pop’n Live” at Tokyo Disneyland was the perfect opportunity to put on your dancing shoes and join a music festival-style parade led by Goofy. Alongside ghosts and skeletons, Disney Friends were dressed as jack-o’-lanterns, witches and more. The note-worthy floats featured various genres of music from The Three Little Pigs dancing to pop, Chip ‘n Dale swinging to jazz, and more.

2. A Frightfully Fun Time During “Spooky ‘Boo!’ Parade”

Packed with Halloween chills and thrills, the debut of “Spooky ‘Boo!’ Parade” in 2018 was a frightfully fun time! The ghosts were thrilled to welcome Disney friends to a ghostly version of Tokyo Disneyland, featuring floats inspired by various attractions and themed lands. This eerie transformation included a Western River Railroad operated by a skeleton, black carrousel horses, jack-‘o-lantern teacups and more.

3. Festival of Mystique Brings Frightful Fun

A celebration to remember at the Mediterranean Harbor in Tokyo DisneySea, Mickey Mouse and friends opened the show with bewitching music and dancing — although it wouldn’t be Halloween without a spellbinding turn of events! The jubilation came to a screeching halt as Sea Witches attempted to bring the festivities under their control. Mickey and his friends quickly stepped into action to release the fishing village from the evil spell. This spine-chilling show even included mysterious merch from a batwing cape to spider-web-pattern lace gloves, and more!

4. Dress to Impress at “Villains Halloween Party”

Do you have what it takes to impress a Disney Villain? Those working for the mischievous group were on hand at the American Waterfront in Tokyo DisneySea to let you in on their secrets! Sharing their insight on worthy fashion and dance moves to dazzle, everyone walked away prepared to meet this wicked group — whether that be under the sea with Ursula or Hades in the underworld.

5. Décor to Devilishly Dazzle
