That’s the Disney way!Exactly. They really have no excuse not to bring back shows, parades, restaurants, etc., anymore. It's gauging the customer by cheaping out.

While I agree it is time to restart the shows, parades, etc let us not forget that the Parks Division LOST 400 million this last quarter. Things will be brought back, but it will be at a lot slower pace than we guests want.Exactly. They really have no excuse not to bring back shows, parades, restaurants, etc., anymore. I'm not quite sure what your point is here. Yes, the Parks Division (which includes ABD & DCL) lost this past quarter. How does that affect how quickly things are brought back? While I agree it is time to restart the shows, parades, etc let us not forget that the Parks Division LOST 400 million this last quarter. It costs money to bring the events back. The division will want to see more $ coming thru the gates before spending more $ on the extras (parades, fire works, etc.)

The parks division consists of more than just WDW. Disneyland was closed for the whole past quarter. The limiting factor with bringing stuff back at this point is probably staffing. It costs money to bring the events back. This is it, basically. We know restaurants all over the place are having issues with staffing, and that Disney is trying to bring people back. We know they're *hiring* fireworks specialists, so that's coming back too. The question is when a lot of this stuff comes back, not if.The parks division consists of more than just WDW. Disney+ has built a subscriber base much quicker than any other streaming service and has exceeded expectations while doing so. What more did you expect? It is interesting what direction Disney will take to increase the number of subscribers to the Disney+ service. Creating more content is likely part of the solution. But, the company needs to focus more on quality content. I feel the initiatives to be more diverse and inclusive at higher levels of management in the company have moved some of the creative process in a direction that is less appealing to Disney clients. Disney needs to pick and choose good creative leaders instead of activists. Diversity is a good for business and is not the problem. But it becomes a problem when the content or politics in the senior management become polarizing.
There is no reason why such a large company with such a good content library cannot dominate the mainstream part of the entertainment industry, sports broadcasts and news. If you give people a reason to be upset they will simply unsubscribe. The financial outcome is Disney will find it will have less places to grow business. This is a company that will not survive without growth.

There's no link between the focus on diversity and the quality of content on Disney+. They're releasing great stuff on their like Falcon and Winter Soldier, Wandavision, The Mandalorian, Soul........

Disney+ has a ton of content on it. I'm not sure what more you expect. It's also cheaper than just about every other streaming service.I expect Disney+ to be a service that you keep every month, rather than subscribe, watch the new content, and then unsubscribe. It's pretty much Paramount+.
But right now, I'd rather buy Disney stock than visit the parks. And I did buy more in after hours yesterday. I think, I get a bigger bang for my buck owning Disney stock right now.

Look, 400 million isn’t nothing. But when you've got billions, and the overall company was still insanely profitable, you don’t punish the customers like this. You make slightly less money so you can spread way more joy and goodwill for the brand and to your employees.
Yeah, I mean, D+ is the best value in streaming. For me, I'd be happy with it even if it didn't have original content. The Dinsey back catalog is more than appealing enough for me! They are missing a few things, but they have been adding catalog titles regularly.
yeah...that’s not how public corporations generally work
It's a lot more fun as a customer than as a shareholder.Yep. Right now, it's better to be a shareholder than a customer under this leadership team.
