Disney to cancel FPs if room is cancelled

Do a search, this isnt the only dis forum. There is an actual forum that talks about all the little loopholes and secret tricks u can do. This has been goin on for years and was called the "throw away room". Im not goin post a link to a forum dedicated to finding loopholes to cheat the system. There is the thing called google.
@otterpop - if you use this new google thing you’ll see some of the reports. Throwaway seems dead - if you’re off-site I wouldn’t play with fire and risk losing all FPs. 30 days is the only way to be safe :) (I’m honestly not even sure if this was your concern or not).

That's not a loophole though, I would consider it more of a strategy. I learned about it from a DVC CM when I called to as some questions about making a reservation. They suggested I do it in order to get the room I wanted.

Booking days you have no intention of keeping to circumvent the 11 month booking rule is definitely a loophole. It’s just a loophole people are currently getting away with.

:scratchin But it makes me feel better if I call my loophole a strategy because that means instead of abusing a system :tiptoe:I'm just smarter than others...:idea:

:rolleyes1:rolleyes::rotfl2:

Meh, I've been doing this for years. Disney holds on to my $200-$300 bucks for 6 months or so in exchange for "air". With the success I've had refreshing, I don't do it as much tho.

I just googled "Mushu" because I thought it was only Mulan's friend. Who knew it was food?! I need to get out of the Pop-Tart aisle.

Who remembers the Making of a Disney movie with Mushu? I think I liked it better than all my friends but I dragged them in to watch it anyway

This post did not have to do with the throwaway room. A "throwaway" room by definition, is a room that is booked for the 60day window for fp's that you do not check in to. Hence thrown away. In other words the guest is still paying for it, just not using it.
This thread is in regard to canceled reservations.

??? I have found this Google that you speak of and did a search; it came back with a bunch of links about porn sites and seafood! Is this some sort of sick joke???? Why would you suggest that here on a family-based website? Maybe you should go back to the OP and re-read...there's a reason why the post is titled "...if room is cancelled." Do you have actual confirmation that if you cancel a room reservation, you will lose your FP's? Maybe I misunderstood your original post??? If you want to discuss throwaway rooms (which I'm still trying to catch up on and maybe that's what you meant by being confirmed?), maybe you should keep your posts in that thread as to not confuse it with this rumor? It does sound like you are more knowledgeable than myself though with all of these "little loopholes and secret tricks," so maybe you are right, and I apologize for questioning you and responding to your original post. :worship::hippie::worship::hippie:

This won't prevent all the shenanigans. It is still easy enough to create a dummy MDE account and reserve the FP with a dummy room reservation and then cancel the FP yourself and pick them up immediately with your real account. Sure there's a chance someone else picks them up before you do but by controlling the time and doing it a very late or very early hour you can mitigate your risk.

Yes, please.
I believe there is a community board for all other off topic discussions. Seems like a good place to discuss recipes. :thumbsup2

Just keeping things lively while we wait anxiously for possible updates.

However, you're right. I don't want this thread locked either. I've always been in favor of all workable strategies - such as those discussed throughout this thread (and others) - being open for discussion. If the thread is open, the strategies are being revealed to those who didn't already know about them. All to the good.

Unlike ADRs, FP are not always released back into the pool as soon as they are released. At least, not with any sort of consistency.

I think you may have malware/adware. I just searched with safe search on an off and all the results were about WDW. Granted Google knows I visit a lot of Disney sites but I'm guessing it would be similar to any other DIS poster.
