I have no experience in these matters but if Centertown was opening in the 1st wouldn't it be announced by now or does Disney just do these things without fanfare?

A friend of mine who is there says the opening has been delayed for 1 week
How are the rooms at CBR these days?
When we’re they last refurbished?
TIA!
Thank you! I’m still in the fence!I think they're great!
Completed about 18 months ago.
Thank you all. So happy a standard room opened up for our dates. My husband and I have no desire to sleep in a double pirate bed. We could only get Animal Kingdom for part of our trip and (he especially) doesn’t enjoy split stays. So... we are now booked 10/27-11/3 at CBR. Very Excited. I haven’t stayed at CBR in years but have FOND memories!Thank you! I’m still in the fence!
Well definitely let us know if or when Centertown opensHello Gang!
I’m checking in 10/2 and would be happy to provide an update!
Are there no little convenience shops spread about for things like milk? I thought I had read about that somewhere, I will have to update my grocery order if not.Currently staying at CBR for the first time. Not impressed, unfortunately. The construction mess/noise isn't the issue (I've actually loved watching the progress!) but the lack of food options is a HUGE negative for us (due to construction). We ended up buying pizza from Papa John's tonight because after three days here, we're out of decent options. Not ideal.
The positives: We lucked out by getting a room in Martinique Building 24. We practically have a private pool with the quiet pool next door. We are super close to the shuttle stop. Staff are great. Internal bus system works fine (but it takes a long time to get anywhere in the resort). The main, fun pool is darling! Great theming. Grounds are pretty nice. Bed is comfortable.
The negatives: This resort is huge, spread out and currently the food options are poor. Our room is very mediocre. There is no big gift shop right now, either. We had to go to the Polynesian to get a half gallon of milk. Meals from Spyglass Grill were small but tasted decent. The breakfast we had was practically a joke it was so small. These negatives are enough for everyone in our party to give the resort a thumbs down.
We much prefer Coronado Springs for moderates. Happy to be switching to Animal Kingdom Lodge tomorrow.
You must be in the same group as me lolA Facebooker snapped a photo this evening of Old Port Royale and said that the lights were on, ambience music was playing and there was a photographer there. Sounds like they are getting media ready for maybe a post on the Parks Blog or something.

Someone posted overnight they are painting the parking lot markings. MDE still doesn't show a Sebastian's Bistro menu or reservations option.
