Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

So, WL CL, am I understanding correctly that if I want to be on same floor as lounge I need to request 7th floor because you could be on any floor? Does anyone know if their are many bunk beds on that floor for CL? Also, are stairs available vs taking the elevator every time? What would you request? And finally, instead of calling central reservations, I'm guessing I could just email this DSS and ask them to do it?
We just stayed at WL CL, left Monday and now at BC CL. We had bunk beds on the 7th floor. We never requested the 7th floor, but did request bunkbeds. A CM from CL had emailed a week before our trip to check on any special requests and I mentioned the bunk beds, I thought our agent had requested them but the CM said it was not in the system but she put in the request. Then a day before our trip I got a call from a CL CM to check on things and he confirmed that the room was with bunkbeds.
WL CL is very good with the communication, upon arrival they take you from the lobby to CL and a tour of the lounge and then bring you to the room, every night we had a print out of the itinerary. I have had follow up emails since leaving. At BC there was zero communication before arrival, escorted by front desk to CL, no tour and not brought to the room, but concierge gave a little introduction to the resort, and no printouts since arrival. Very different experience here at BC.

$600/hour with a minimum of 7 hours. Up to 10 people.

For a comparable view pool/lagoon regular versus pool/lagoon club it's $312 per night difference (tax in) each of our 9 nights... which is $2808 plus for the extra FP+ is 507 (minumum 3 nights at 50 per person for the extra fast passes which for us (3 people)) ---so total of $3315 for the trip. The $4200 plus tax (plus none of the other benefits) doesn't make it sound that attractive.

This actually makes it more worth booking club level it if the pilot FP+ continues... I just wish they'd let us know..

Well, since I've been posting about my stays this morning I guess I'll just introduce myself (really re-introduce myself) and post our upcoming stays. I did catch up with this thread, I hadn't been following after our last CL stay (and last Disney stay overall) last August at the Poly. I also caught up with the CR thread, there is no chance of fully catching up with the YC/BC thread but I refreshed my memory and joined in!

We will be staying at the YC SV CL June 10-14, BC SV CL June 14-18, and CR Atrium Club SV June 18-22!

I'm really looking forward to it, being able to do both the Epcot resort area and the MK area in one stay! As I mentioned on the previous page, I'm apprehensive about a split stay and this is my first time doing that. We were initially going to do 6 nights BC and 6 nights either CR or GF since we have a longer then usual stay this year, but then realized we could save a lot by splitting 4/4/4. We wanted more than 4 nights at SAB since this is a summer trip, so voila, we added the YC in! I have stayed at the YC GV CL and CR SV CL before, but I have never stayed at the BC at all. If you follow the BC/YC thread you see how obsessed I can get over room requests, I'm trying to reign that in and just have fun no matter what!

We are now a family of 6 after adding in twin DSs that are 14 months (with a DS8 and DS5 as well). So after they turn 3 I may have to give up CL unless we either leave some or all of the kids at home for a long weekend or stay in the deluxe rooms at WL or BWI. So I'm trying to soak in these last 3 (now 2) years we can stay in a regular room at Disney that sleeps 5 plus one under 3. I wanted to get in one last trip CL at the CR (which we are doing in June) and one last at the GF RPC, which we were going to do this time but swapped for the CR, so I still have to to work on that one! I had thought that last summer would suffice as my one last CL trip at the Poly, but now we all really miss it and I'm wondering if I might be able to fit that in as well before they turn 3! Because we need a room that sleeps 5 we had to stay SV at the YC and BC, so it is what it is. Just for a complete picture, we are taking the auto train down, which we loved last time and is a great part of the vacation! We also all have APs and plan to go to LegoLand on our switch day between YC and BC.

We are doing the extra CL FP+s, with Epcot in the AM and DHS in the PM on Jun12, AK on the 16th, and MK on the 19th. I booked those about 6 days prior to what would have been our 60 day window for the first stay, and had no problems booking what we wanted. I m nervous about not being able to adjust the extra paid ones what I made for the evenings, but crossing my fingers it won't be an issue.

Ok, enough of an introduction, thanks so much for all of the info on this thread and I'll be following along and probably asking questions until our stays in June!

Wow, I knew it wasn't cheap, but now that I calculate it out I think I'll just keep staying CL and using regular FPs and the extra ones as long as they offer that option! it would be nice in an ideal world with unlimited budget, but I would rather spend that on other things and since there are 6 of us we couldn't even split it easily (not that we know anyone who would be willing to split that with us anyway :rotfl:)

Pricing is seasonal so can change by the day. I think the cheapest is $450 an hour (or maybe $425) on low days. Plus tip, if so inclined. If that helps! :rotfl:

The $4200 plus tax (plus none of the other benefits)

No additional tax. :-) But it is customary to tip.

I have not done the CLFP (yet!), but it's an attractive alternative to VIP tours for my family. I like the VIP tours a lot, but my family doesn't always want to spend 7+ consecutive hours touring the parks. Could be ideal for a split stay say without room, however. The biggest plus over CLFP is the transportation and backstage park entrances.

Welcome (or welcome back again).

We've done CR/BC trips in the past and I've loved them all. Love the ability to walk to the parks and all they offer. We'd still be doing split stays if it was up to me but DH likes settling in, unpacking, and relaxing. We do go to UO for a few nights each trip so I guess that that is a split stay of sorts too (DH doesn't object to this one as he also loves HRH and UO.) We love the MK and EP resorts.... You guys will have a great time!

We also visited Legoland and when DS was about 7 he (and we) absolutely loved it... He's 11 now so he's sort of past Lego mostly (unless it's Star Wars Lego --- then it's still cool.) As a family we loved Legoland during our visit. DS also loves Kennedy Space Center.

I think if the extra FP+s are an option when we go --- we'll switch to CL and pay for the extra FP for 3 or 4 nights... (I wish that they'd confirm this...)

I’ll contribute to being OT too. We did Legoland this past trip. It was fun and all and I’m glad we did it, but not sure if it’s something we’d jump to do again.

I recommend rope drop for sure. There was no one there for the first two hours... then a light switch went off and it was packed (this was the first week of April).

We did Legoland during our Dec/Jan trip. It was kind of surreal for me (in the middle of a week+ at Disney), but the kids loved it. They still talk about it (they were 5 and 3 at the time). I decided that IF we go back, we would stay in the hotel. Because hotel guests got an hour alone in the parks. And there was NO ONE in the parks at that time... (we got to go in because we were doing a private tour and literally we saw maybe 10 families in the park for the hotel hour -- and this was during Xmas/NYE week). It definitely got crowded later, as you saw.

:offtopic: I still need to look into it, I know nothing about LegoLand, just that my DS8 wants to go because he has seen commercials on, I think, Nickelodeon. I think there might be some info on these boards somewhere I never have gone - maybe other Orlando attractions? I'm going to start looking. Good to know we should do rope drop, just hard to coordinate packing up, checking out of the YC and into the BC, and getting 4 kids fed and dressed and still making opening!! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I hope they open later in the AM :-). it's been a while since we did something I had no knowledge of at all - I'm not liking the feeling. I was contemplating kind of winging LegoLand, but I'd hate to essentially waste the day and money if that turned out to be miserable.

Uuughhh! I hate that! Normally I would not go somewhere where another group had an advantage I could have had easily by choosing to do something - like stay in their hotel. But in this case it isn't really an option. We have our Disney stay all set up and can't change without losing a lot of money, so there will be no onsite Legoland hotel. I hope it doesn't turn out to be too much of a problem, because I was not anticipating this becoming a yearly add on, just a one and done (or maybe twice if we like it and want to go again when the second 2 are old enough to appreciate it). I have NO IDEA what to expect, I have literally never read anything about the park. Like if it's all kids rides, adult rides, if they have height requirements, etc. I guess I was assuming it was mainly for little kids, but I don't know that. I guess I know what to look into this weekend :D

Legoland is almost an hour away and an hour back (depending on what time of day.... I think we got stuck in some traffic on the way back.) Definitely check out the youtube videos with your son to see what rides/attractions there are and see if it meets what you're looking for. DS was a Lego-maniac at the time so it was something we were willing to do because of that. Probably your DS is right in the age range for enjoying it though.

I need some advice. My husband and I are going to be going to be going to Disney in October 2019. We will spend the first week offsite but are considering spending one or two nights onsite at a deluxe CL. We are willing to splurge a bit as we will be celebrating our 30th anniversary. I would prefer either a Magic Kingdom resort or an Epcot resort.
Which CL is the nicest? Best to celebrate at? If we can manage it I’m going to try and get an ADR at V&A.

I agree with PPs that you have nothing but great choices! It's also subjective and depends on your goals for the trip. My DH and I really love BWI for adult-only long weekends away, since we tend not to frequent the MK without our kids and would prefer to explore the World Showcase. There's also great nightlife on the Boardwalk, and lots of very good restaurants within walking distance for a celebration. The Innkeepers Club is lovely and has delicious food. The quiet pool at BWI is also a nice place to relax.

We stayed at BWI this past weekend, and had dinner at V&A (in the Queen Victoria Room). It was wonderful and would be great for an anniversary! Happy planning! :)

Just wanted to say hi since we'll be staying at BC CL June 10-16! :wave:We also did the CL FPs, but struggled with what to book at DHS during that time with young kids since there are no TSM FPs and TSL isn't open. We booked them for two AK/Epcot days, and a HS/MK day. Needless to stay, I'm still playing with our schedule.

We've never stayed at BC/YC before, and already miss the Poly, but can't wait to try SAB!

There are 12 Deluxe rooms on floors 1-6 that also have Club Level access. The regular CL rooms are all on the 7th floor with the lounge and the Yosemite Suite. Yes, you can email DSS with your room request(s).

Note: there are only about 28 rooms on the 7th floor and even fewer rooms that have Bunk Beds. While rooms with Bunk Beds are a bookable category for regular rooms, there is not guarantee that you will be able to get Bunk Beds on the CL since it it only a request.

Dave

Well that makes me feel pretty good about being on the same floor since ours is the regular room. Thank you for your detailed response. I do understand about no guarantees, of course.

Sounds like we are going to like it here! I will definitely email with a request, just good to know it exists. Looking forward to staying there. Did you happen to notice any stairwells? I know pretty much all Disney has them, but after a stay at The Dolphin, I've come to realize not all hotels do. (Even though that's the only one I've actually seen that didn't, lol)

Hi guys! Just checked into Wilderness Lodge and sucessfully upgraded to club level access ($99/nt). The CM at check in tried to move us to 7 but then kept our original room when she could not. I almost asked for closer to elevator but I am glad I did not, because the view is amazing. I had requested highest floor and MK view, neither granted. But a good room nonetheless. My friend doesn't arrive until tonight so I am hanging out on the balcony...

CM staff upstairs were very welcoming and gave me an intro and a tour, and grabbed me a drink even between services. I asked for a Diet Coke and he tried to get me to take wine, :rotfl2:--- but I am dying for a sunshine margarita from geyser point so I am going to get that instead.

Here's my view:
