A report on the temporary Tambu drink menu from Twitter: https://twitter.com/tambu_tracey/status/1030607948035371009?s=21
lSame deal for us. We are in Niue, ground floor, facing the Oasis pool. Very happy!
One of the walkways over by Aeteora is temporarily closed due to construction.
Thanks! Do you know if Niue has balconies and patios? I was very young when I was last at Poly and can't seem to find this info online.Yes, the main number - 407-939-5277

You might want to consider renting a cabana for a half or whole day at the Oasis pool. I rented mine well ahead of time, but there was a family in the cabana next to us who had rented the day before because of the pool crowds and chaise hogs. Maybe there's something available for you last minute.l
Yep, and we’re in Aotearoa we were a little frustrated at first, but it’s not that bad. They’re routing us through Tonga (which is a little strange), but we’ve gotten used to it. Resort is beautiful as always! The pool situation is a bit of a bummer - chaises very hard to find, and nothing in the shade. Weather is hot, hot, hot. Parks are very manageable

Thanks again. Just made a room request. Looking forward to our stay!Niue is two floors - first floor has patios, the second floor does not have an outdoor space (same sliding balcony door, but the railing is right up against the window with no outdoor space).
WE are officially 10 weeks aka 70 days away! I seriously cannot contain my excitement. So excited to be there for 9 days over Halloween!!!! Also secretly hoping to catch some xmas décor on our last days!
THIS IS GREAT NEWS! I was hoping that would be the case!!! We check in on 10/26 so we will get lots of time to check out fall decor and don't check out until 11/3 so hopefully they will have *some* Christmas around!
Very excited for my 1st trip staying at Poly since childhood!
My 11yo daughter and I arrive tomorrow and will be staying at the Poly for eight nights. I can't believe in one day we'll be back at WDW!!! This is the first time we're doing a trip with just the two of us and I'm beyond excited! We stayed at the Polynesian two years ago and loved it. On that trip we were in Fiji, facing the Luau. I didn't love that location because it seemed a little dark and disconnected from the resort, but we did still enjoy it. This trip I've requested Niue facing west. We'll see what happens.
We're attending MNSSHP next Friday and are excited the party falls during our trip. We did it in October of 2014. It was great, but my daughter wasn't feeling well, so that limited our party activities. I love when Magic Kingdom is decorated for Halloween! We're planning a pretty relaxed trip this time. We'll have plenty of park time, but we're not tying ourselves to a lot of reservations, so we can spontaneously change plans as desired. That will be a lot different from past trips and what I'm most looking forward to about this trip.
Sitting poolside after breakfast at 1900 park fare.
Last stay at the Poly was 40 years ago (I am definitely dating myself!). Looking forward to a return visit in late November!
Plus I am leaving my 15 year olds and DH behind. Trip with my Mom and brother. November 27th cannot come soon enough!
We are trying to plan our next trip (Thanksgiving week 2019) and Poly doesn't show anything available but club level, is this normal? Are there still rooms they will release? Should I give up all my hopes and dreams for my fam to stay at poly????
99 days til we’re back “home” at the Poly!
Sitting poolside after breakfast at 1900 park fare. Lovely but nearly all loungers gone. Towels were down by 8 am when pool being cleaned sigh. Chair hogs stink
Do you mean the rolled towels on all the chairs? They were put there by the cm’s.Sitting poolside after breakfast at 1900 park fare. Lovely but nearly all loungers gone. Towels were down by 8 am when pool being cleaned sigh. Chair hogs stink
One of my favorite early morning rituals is to have a cup of coffee poolside and remove towels from all the unoccupied loungers as I head back to the room.

As at most deluxe, nice touch. No I’m talking personal items too
The single flip flop on each longer is the winner
Do CMs not notice when people come in and drop off stuff like this? That seems a bit silly for people to think that a flip flop saves them a chair for the day. They need a lost and found box by the pool for random solo items like that just hanging out, especially if there aren’t people actually in the pool area.
I don’t remember this bein a problem when we were at BLT or the Contemporary on our last 2 trips.
They had one of the temporary bars (near the monorail) open for a very short time early yesterday evening to test it out. I didn’t notice anyone ordering a drink. They were all at the Tambu Lounge.A report on the temporary Tambu drink menu from Twitter: https://twitter.com/tambu_tracey/status/1030607948035371009?s=21
I’d say no but the bungalows can obscure your view. I still love moorea!Just reserved our Lake View Room DVC room for next July. It's my first time going to the world and my 2 kids (boy 7 and girl 4) as well. My wife hasn't been since she was a kid. We are very excited.
So here is my question, are there "bad" lake view rooms in Moorea at Poly?

Heaven.I don't think I'd consider any of the Lake views "bad". The first floor rooms may be less magical since the bungalows can make the view of the MK, but it's still a lovely view. Some people find the ferry horns to be loud and obnoxious; personally I find them a wonderful part of the overall ambience. We always request a room on the East end of the building (closest to TTC). Here's the view from third floor, three doors from the end.
