For those asking about fireworks views...

I stayed CL last week (room 7054 - pretty much right in the middle of the hallway). I was in a standard CL room and requested a room which faced toward the Castle. Below are some photos from my room. The fireworks are Wishes - we checked out the first day of the new show, so I haven't seen it (although I did see some testing going on while we were there).

Thanks for the info and the great pictures! So excited to be staying CL at WL anyway, but a room with that view would just be amazing!

You're going to just love it. I want to go back! We drove, and we break the drive into 2 days (it's 16 hours). When we got into the hotel we were staying in on the way home, my 18 month old started crying. I think he thought we had moved to WL. Have a wonderful trip!

So glad your 18 month old son loved it. My son will be 2 when we go to WL i had beach club booked but I thought the pool at Beach club be to overwhelming for him plus they did not have a kid splash zone. looking forward to staying at WL

My son was a big fan of the kid's pool at WL! I was so glad they had it. I think WL is a great resort for families with young kids. It was always at the top of my list of where we would stay when we had a baby of our own to take!

Thanks for the review & pics :) Looking forward to our upcoming trip with our littlest first timers too. Can't wait!

We are staying CL standard view in November. Really hoping we don't get "downgraded" to a courtyard view!

Mannnn I booked a courtyard view. The CM on the phone at the time said that was all that was avail but online standard was available. Wondering if I should call back and check now that it seems standard view seems to be where it's at. Hmmm

Need a room recommendation. We reserved a bunk bed room (courtyard view) in September. Anyone have any suggestions for when I make our room request? Thanks!
You will do well no matter where your room is. We like the rooms that open to the lobby for the view to the inside, but in Courtyard view there are relatively few of these (the "Bear Face Rooms" ) and I'm not sure if any have bunk beds. You could request being near the lobby to be closer to the waterfall and further from the lake and pool, or could request to be at the East end of the wing to perhaps have a view of the EWP on the lake. Either way we prefer a high floor for a better view and less noise, but some prefer lower or ground floor for a shorter (or no) elevator ride. The elevators are near the middle of the wing, so being near them works well to shorten your walk. The closer you are to the lobby the closer it will be to use that elevator, which should be open by then.

In CL there isn't a bookable room category difference between courtyard view and the rooms that on the other floors would be considered standard view. Both sides of the hallway have their advantages, and you can make your view requests known so that hopefully they will accommodate you. It is confusing that the term "standard" is used for the regular (non-Deluxe) CL rooms but also for the standard view on the North side of the other floors.

We love the Standard view at WL, mainly because of the substantial price savings but also because of the potential for awesome MK views. Courtyard views can be beautiful too, but we wouldn't pay the extra for them, but some others prefer to. Courtyard View does guarantee that you won't be over the loading dock area, so you won't have the possibility of trucks being below your balcony.

Never mind. I was wrong.

How big are the boats that go to magic kingdom are they similar to the ones used on crescent lake or like the boats from grand to mk ??

They are not the same as the ones they use on Crescent Lake. The WL has two types of boats. One is a small open air launch and one is a very large boat that EVCs and strollers can use

Can strollers be taken on the smaller boats if folded up?
