Yeah, we will have a rental car and planning a trip to Target on our first day. I might pick up a swiffer wet mop...
We are thinking of getting a rental car for our first day, too. I've been checking them out and it appears that the cost would be the same if we keep it overnight vs returning it at the end of the first day. Will you be dropping it off on property or at the CCC?

Ok, we are home from our trip, and I wanted to give a mini report of our stay! It was just me and my adult daughter. I've stayed at BC one other time for only two nights, and she's never stayed there. This trip was 5 nights.

We were garden/woods view and we got room 3622 it was a view out over the lawn with the BCV across the way. The location to the lobby was AWESOME! Up to 3rd floor and we were the 3rd room it was so close to run down to lobby or marketplace for anything! It did not have a full balcony so that was a bummer but the closeness to the lobby helped us get over it. And we thought the condition of the room was good!

Our 1st full day was the only day we napped and luckily there was no construction noise that day. However, ALL other days there was. hammering hammering hammering. some days it seemed louder then others. It was annoying and we kept saying THANK GOD we weren't planning to nap those other days. (napped 1st day because of late night deluxe hours). We were in and out of the room those other days coming and going from the pool, so we were there to hear the noise. But we were in the parks in the mornings so didn't hear how loud it was then.

We loved the pool and I had thought the kids might get a bit much at the pool and we might want to visit the quiet pool on the trip since this was an adult only trip for us but that wasn't the case. the pool was large enough that there were areas to get away. And it was difficult to get a float for the lazy river but eventually we did and really enjoyed that! We spent 3 afternoons at the pool for 2 full hours each time. Do wish the pool entrance wasn't so far away from the room/lobby.

We ate ice cream at Beaches and Cream twice. Once at the walk up window on arrival evening and once inside at a table. We didn't have a reservation just came back from Epcot around 9pm (pouring rain) and they said 30 min wait so we put our name down and got called in 30 minutes. No Way Jose was sooooo good!

Had breakfast at Ale & compass one morning which was very good and not busy AT ALL. 7:45 am reservation.

Used uber to and from the airport and it was $55 to the hotel at 9pm on arrival night and only $37 back on departure morning. We also ubered to the Poly for Ohanas and it was $11 to get there at 4:30pm and $16 to get back at 6:30pm.
We also liked that we could walk from our room to the bus stop, and it was fully covered from the rain. That wasn't the case at the Yacht club they didn't have a covered walkway as we saw people running from the rain as they exited the bus.

My daughter just couldn't get over how easy it was to walk in and out of Epcot! She says we'll never be able to go back to Pop! haha (the resort our kids grew up at!)
Oh and we had shockingly good luck with the boats as well. We went to HS on two days and a boat was pulling up each time we needed it. Which I realize it total luck of the draw!! but we had good luck! LOL

Now I'm trying to figure out how to fit the BC into my budget for my fall trip with DH!
We were former "Poppers" until we stayed at BC. Last time we did a split stay; this time I was going solo and was going to do POP (I just needed a place to sleep and shower as I was meeting up with my son/grandchildren every day)...but now, one of my other adult daughters is going so...we are staying at BC the whole time. Is there a map of the room numbers somewhere? We are hoping to get the same room we were in the last time but cannot find a room number. It faced the Tidal Pool...last building to Epcot but at the other end of the hall from the back door nearest Epcot.

The secret door was amazing when we were there. If I were on the ground floor I wouldn't want to be in one of the rooms right next to it! Could be noisy. We had a room overlooking the quiet pool and I thought it was a very nice view (though not ground floor).
Was this BC and if so, what was your room number? Thank you

Our favorite room at BC was 1523. Back in the day, that was not considered a water view and was not nearly as overgrown as it is now. :sad1:

I like the BCV view :thumbsup2, but not a fan of the higher floors. Hoping to get our requests of pool view, first or second floor in a few weeks.
Is 1523 a room that looks out toward the Tidal/quiet pool?

I got a 9 day rental from Hertz for under $450 because we are going to also visit my parents house a few times during the week.

If I didn't have a rental car, I'd do an Instacart order.

Any recent experience with those having booked a garden/woods view and then having it switched to a resort view? I received the email about them changing/recategorizing the room categories, but I didn't panic because my reservation online still showed garden/woods view. In my reservation this morning it shows 'resort view' which has me in a tiny bit of a panic. They will still honor the original booking right? They can see that we booked before the change?

I am not sure what the room assigner can see. Someone else on the thread booked woods view and I booked woods view for my trip. The views on both of our reservation changed just before our trips. The other poster ended up with a room she was happy receiving. We were happy that we were upgraded to a water view. We were not happy that our price also changed. But the front desk solved the extra charge for us. I did have my documentation showing that my previous balance was for a woods view. All that to say, bring your confirmation of your original booking in case you are unhappy with your room assignment (looking at a roof top/gravel and equipment for example).

I am looking at moving my July GF stay to BC Club level. Is BC under construction/refurbishment or just the BC Villa side? I don't want to jump from one construction zone to another. Also, the BC Club Level rooms were recently refurbished, right? Thanks!

When and how do y'all call to add room requests on to your reservation? Is there a limit? I'd like to add something like "away from the elevators, quiet corner room please, #4231 was great last visit!" but I'm not sure if that's too many requests.

You call the same number you call for making a reservation. You give them your confirmation number and they can manually add in your request.

That request above is too specific. I'd ask for "far from elevators, upper floor". That will grant you the quiet you are looking for. A corner room is too difficult to fulfill.

If it club level request you can email disney.signature.services@disneyworld.com anytime with your requests. Any other room requests not club level I would suggest you call the hotel directly and have them put your request on your reservation. You can also chat text with a cast member on My Disney Experience app, they can also note your requests. You then have a record of your requests. I have done that. I have also asked for a specific room and did receive that. Probably the luck of the draw but it was on record.

I use chat on MDE. That said I’ve only been successful about half the time, and the other half the time I get the opposite of what I requested 😂
