Kind of a specific question but does anyone know if the standard rooms at BC have carpeting? I have pretty bad allergies and it seems like no matter how clean a hotel room is, carpeted rooms mess me up. It looks like refurbished rooms generally don’t.

All rooms now have hard floors. We just stayed at BC for 9 nights in a room on the 2nd floor and it was refurbished. All rooms are getting the same treatment. They are almost done. Only a handful of 1st floor rooms need to be finished, but they are not booking guests into unrefirbished rooms at this point.

I will say, our floor was filthy all week. And our allergies were as bad as they always are in FL. There was dust everywhere. I had to specifically ask for our floors to be swept/vacuumed. It only happened twice in 9 nights. Bring some shoes to wear so you don't have junk stuck to your feet all week.

Yes they are all done on the 3rd,4th and 5th floors. They are finishing up on the remaining rooms on the 1st floor.

BCV DVC work was stopped and will restart later this year.

Second floor rooms are also all done. We had a second floor room last week. The entire floor is open.

They do have seltzer at all three beverage locations - BC, YC and Hurricane Hanna. The BC Marketplace and Hurricane Hanna have it on a small tab on one of the drink options. I've gotten it by mistake a few times.

Yes it is. It's even a free option with your own bottle if you want, at least at BC. There are 2 buttons on the machine that do not require a cup be placed on the stand below: water and "soda". The water is on the lemonade spout, soda on Sprite.

Room refurbs on the resort side are finishing up this week.

The DVC side will have renovations through the end of the year.

Nope. The entrances on the first floor and the elevator closest to the quiet pool were closed while we were there 7/25-8/3 because the first floor was a hard hat construction zone. The pool was open.

Does anyone know if the last day is your final night in the hotel or the day you have to check out? For example, October 27-31, does that mean I check out on 10/31 or 11/1? I understand I can book other nights around the bounce back at rack rate, but would the night of 10/31 be discounted?

My understanding is October 31 is discounted, November 1st is rack rate.
