DLH holding refrigerated items before check in?

Checking in to the DLH early Tuesday morning. Lansky is picking us up at the airport and will take us to Target where I plan to have an order ready for pickup. If our room is not ready because it will be about 11am will bell services take refrigerated items with our bags and refrigerate them until we return to get our room? It wouldn't be much maybe 4 things.

If you can pack (or purchase) a small soft sided cooler as mentioned above along with some ziploc bags you should be able to get ice from the ice machines at the DLH (or worst case I suppose even in Tangaroa Terrace).

The planDisney panel (formerly the Disney Parks Moms Panel) recently (March 2022) answered a question about ordering groceries to the Grand Californian, but they also discussed how Bell Services handles groceries that need to be kept cold:

"... your items can be dropped off at Bell Services. The Bell Services team will even be able to keep your cold stuff cold for you until your arrival. Once you're ready to gather your groceries, you can either head to the luggage holding area just outside the main entrance, or you can call for them to be delivered to your room."

A similar question to planDisney from December 2021 indicates that Bell Services at DLH can also store groceries for you, but the answer didn't mention anything about items that need refrigeration.

I would expect DLH offers the same service that the Grand Californian does, although you may want to call them in advance to be certain.

Assuming they will refrigerate your groceries, make sure you mark the bag(s) that need to be kept cold so that Bell Services knows which ones need to be refrigerated.

They had no problem storing a bag in the refrigerator for us before our checkin time a few weeks ago. They also held it for us after checkout. They’ve done it for us at the Grand Californian as well.

Bell Services is absolutely equipped with cold storage. They accept grocery deliveries all day every day (no alcohol in order, they won't sign for it). This is exactly the same, they will take it with your luggage when you arrive. Double bag them and tie the bags shut so they handle well.

If you want/need to confirm, call the hotel directly (google for the number, don't call 800 reservations number). Hit zero for the operator, then ask to speak to bell services. They are always nice.

*Depending on your grocery order, the soft cooler thing is still a good idea because it really extends your storage beyond the mini-fridge. Yes, there are ice machines in the hotels for free. Check out Titan coolers, they have some that fold flat and would travel well for $20-$40 depending on size. You could even carry it on as a small item and slide under the seat and still have leg room. Costco/Amazon. Have fun! :thumbsup2
