Last trip to WDW was last December when we came for two weeks and bought APs for that trip. This trip was added in when we found airfares too good to pass up, especially since our APs were still good.</font>

Mickey called to wake us up at 630am but we told him to let us sleep just a bit longer. We did get up a little after 7am and were still not hungry so we skipped breakfast (something we rarely do at home but then again we rarely eat such rich food at home). We caught the bus to Animal Kingdom and headed in towards the safari. We grabbed a Fast Pass for 840am-940am and hopped in line. The line took under 5 minutes and we were boarded on the right side of the truck. We saw lots of animals including the lion and lioness. Our driver didn't seem too into the whole thing and she rushed through everything, rarely even slowing for photos let alone stopping briefly. She also pointed out few things. Around the flamingos we were forced to stop when a truck way in front of us had trouble and had to be towed. I think we were stopped for about 15 minutes. Afterwards was when we saw the lion and lioness. Our driver didn't even point them out let alone stop or slow which is too bad because the lion was standing up and we could have gotten a good photo if she had slowed a little.
After we got off the safari we went on the Pangani Forest Trail and saw the gorillas. I think just about all of them were out and the little ones were so cute. After that it was time for our second safari. This time our driver was excellent. We had asked to sit on the left side of the truck and we got several good photos. Our driver did a lot of pointing out of animals, slowed appropriately, and was really great. The lion and lioness were still out but they were both lying down so a photo wouldn't have been too good.
Next we headed for the Maharajah Jungle Trek. The bats were quite active and spreading their wings and flying. It was very cool. The tigers were also out in the sun but not romping. Last time we were at AK the tigers were curled up against a far wall so we were glad that we could see them better this time.
From the jungle trek we headed to Dinoland to ride Dinosaur. The wait was under 20 minutes and we enjoyed the ride. By now it was around 1030am. We had a photo taken upon entering the park and we were told it would be ready after 1030am so we went to check it out. It turns out it wasn't ready but that they hold onto them for four days so we will check back on Sunday.
We waited quite a while to catch a bus to Epcot but once on board got there quickly. We strolled through towards our PS at Le Cellier at noon. We were early but were seated quickly. I had the cheddar cheese soup and Roger had the Bean and Beef Chili. We shared a steak burger and the millennium dessert. Both were excellent. Our bill before tax was under $32. Our server Shawn (from Saskatchewan) was very good.
After lunch we headed around the showcase and stopped and saw the French film and the American Adventure. We saw the American Vibe for the first time and enjoyed them immensely. During American Adventure a young boy leaned against Roger for about 5 minutes. As we were walking out of the show the mother apologized and said her son had just thought it was his dad next to him.
We watched the Chinese acrobats and were amazed and then got a mango margarita at Mexico. It tasted mainly of tequila. Before heading back to the resort we caught Ellen's Energy Adventure.
We rested back at the resort until after 6pm and then caught a bus to MGM. The line outside was horrible. We entered and headed to the Osborne lights. I love these and each year they do some things differently. This year the Santa sleigh doesn't travel around above; instead it is frozen in several different locations. We also noticed a menorah in one window all lit up.
We tried then to get into Brown Derby for grapefruit cake but had no luck so we rode the Great Movie Ride (walked right on) and then got in line for a last ride on RnR. The sign said 40 minutes but it was under 30 minutes. As usual we enjoyed it immensely. We left the park a bit after 830pm and caught our bus and headed to our room. I called and made PS for Brown Derby dessert on Monday and for breakfast at Kona Cafe tomorrow. We decided that we wouldn't be going to Disney Quest this trip and that we also wouldn't be going to Blizzard Beach. There's always next time. In fact we're thinking about returning next Thanksgiving.
