doubletree suites

Doubletree suites in Downtown Disney
Has anyone stayed here, are there any good discounts. Any info would be appreciated such as transportation, rooms, etc.......

We stayed at the Doubletree Suites in November of '99. The hotel had just completed a $2 million renovation and we found our room to be beautifully decorated. The 1-br suite was 600 sq. feet, quite large, with a separate mirrored dressing area just outside the bathroom. We did not use the pool, but I don't think it is themed the way the Disney Resort pools are. We also had a car so we did not use the hotel shuttle. In Nov. of 2000, we stayed off-site at a Quality Suites off 192, which we found to be satisfactory. Not nearly as large as the Doubletree. However, breakfast was included and the price was almost half. The drive time to the parks was almost the same, depending on which park you are going to.
