Dream It Forward Referral Thread

Since the current promotion gives new buyers as well as current owners a reward, we have decided to allow members of the DIS community to offer themselves as referrals for this program.

Current Owners - You may only offer yourself as a referral in this thread. You may not solicit referrals in any other way, which includes posting you are available to be a referral via PM or in a thread in which someone asks for one. You may let them know this thread exists as a way to find a referral.

Simply post in this thread "I am interested in being a referral!". Not all states allow owners to receive the Dream It Forward reward so if you are unsure if you qualify, please check the DVC site.

New Buyers - Please use this thread to find a current DVC owner who you would like to use as a referral. You can simply send them a PM and they will provide you the details. You will not be able to get PM's until you have at least 10 posts. Please report any messages you get from a poster with whom you did not initiate contact and request their info.

i would be happy to assist you but you can’t PM anyone until you have ten messages I think? I know I can message you until you have 10

Correct…you need to get your posts up and then you can PM anyone on this thread. You should be the one initiating the request to whomever you choose in this thread and ask them to be your referral

We are not allowing posters to reach out first to prevent the new buyer from getting slammed with PMs from everyone!

If i own a resale contract only does that mean i can be a referral?
Also can i use someone as a referral if i was to add-on?
And what does a referral get (& referrer), i was thinking it was $500 off a new contract but that doesn’t sound right, unless maybe if a minimum of 150, that would make more sense.

You can be a referral for a new buyer, no matter what you own.. The $500 is only for those who are not yet owners.

Depending on where you live, you may be eligible for a thank you experience for the first referral who actually buys. . I believe it could be a dining gift card, but the details for owners can be found on the DVC website.

Sorry, newbie follow-up question. I seem to have gotten up to 10 posts, but now I'm not sure how to PM someone for the referral (I've tried clicking on someone's profile but don't see where to PM them)
