Eat to the Beat Dining Package and when to line up

I have an ETTB dining package booked for Hanson, which I understand is VERY popular. :) It is for the first showing, at 5:30pm. My lunch is at 1:00pm. Does anyone have experience with this? What time should I be lining up for the show? Dining package folks get guaranteed seating in a certain area, right? Thanks in advance!

Surprised I got moved to the dining forum; this has little to do with my meal and everything to do with the strategy of when to line up! I guess I did not word it clearly. :)

You worded it correctly.
What is your concern on the Restaurant Forum?

Just worried that since this is the restaurant forum but my question is about what time to line up for a concert, that it may not get any attention here. I hope to be proven wrong! I know how important it is to be in-the-know for things at Disney (these boards have helped me tremendously in the past) and I have never done ETTB before. I booked a trip JUST to see Hanson and I don't want to flub it up by not getting there when I should! :) Nor do I want to waste park time getting there too early.

Hi there! We just did Eat to the Beat dining package this last week for Blue October. We had a 1:20 lunch and received our tickets for the first show at 5:30. To the side of the theater (on the left side if facing the stage) there is a line that says "Eat to the Beat reserved seating line up here". It was so dang hot we decided to head over to the Beach Club and relax in the AC for a couple of hours before the show, heading back at the 5:15 suggested time on the ticket (says line up 15 min prior). We got to the line and there was nobody there lol. The theater was completely full and we asked the ladies working the ropes where we should sit and they said anywhere. We specified we had the dining package and showed them the tickets and they promptly escorted us to the front 2 rows of the left side of the stage (which were roped off). About 5 min before the show started there was still space left open in the front rows so they announced that other people could move up to those rows. Basically, long story short, we didn't have to wait in line at all, we walked right up to the theater 15 min prior and were seated up front with no wait.

Thank you! It’s helpful to know where to line up and what time the ticket told you to arrive. It does seem like they had already seated the dining pkg folks when you got there, but it worked out okay. From what I understand, Hanson is a madhouse and people start arriving to the theater for standby as soon as World Showcase opens. (!!!) I’m curious what time Hanson dining pkg folks typically need to arrive...

There's a lot of talk about Hanson specifically and timing in this thread, if it's helpful:
