Epcot monorail line staying closed for the foreseeable future

Just read an article saying that WDW tested running the monorail on the EPCOT line and they decided to keep it closed because of issues with social distancing, mainly at the resort stations where there is not a lot of room.

but the Epcot Monorail doesn't stop at any resort.
No but the Monorails are used on all 3 Beam lines. So there would be less Monorails to cycle on the Resort beam if they are also making the run between TTC and Epcot.

The initial issue was requied beam repairs on the Epcot loop. The second most discussed issue is the time guests spend in a monorail car as it makes the long trip between the TTC and Epcot. Buses are easier to vent than the monorails for air circulation.

If the Epcot line reopened, there would be an increase in passenger volume on the MK monorail trains as more Poly/GF/Contemporary guests would be lining up to ride to the TTC and transfer to the Epcot monorail.

I figured this would be moved to the Transportation board, but I posted it on the Resort board figuring it would be good information for people looking to stay at CR, POLY or GF.
