You are correct about the dining...it was just another bad experience during a bad day. They flowers on the other hand was Disney's fault. It was the Flowers that I ordered from disney that wasnt in the right place.

I am new to all this so I might have just missed it...but did you post the "terrible" pictures that your Disney photog took because my fiance and I are worried about being disappointed by our Disney photog (in December) because my fiance IS a photographer. We keep trying to see what the various Disney photographer took of other couples so we can try to be proactive with our wedding coordinator.

Hi, everybody. Well I have started sending out all of the emails and making phone calls. I really had to settle down just a little bit before I spoke to anyone. One of those, don't shoot the messenger type of things.

I have spoken to a few people so far and most everyone has been very helpful and open to working with us. Because of the several different places that were involved with alot of the problems, it would be very nice to be able to work with someone who has some control over all of it. Wishful thinking probably on my part but hey..a girl can dream. Does anyone know what department the Disney Weddings is under? Everyone has a boss, so I am just trying to figure out who else I need to speak with.

So from my original post I have since found out that it wasnt just one of my guests that missed the wedding because they were misdirected but 4. That definitely didnt do anything to improve my mood.


We are supposed to be getting our pictures from the disney photographer next week so I will post some more pics then.

That is one of my complaints. I know that you can't predict weather but wait until you absolutely have to make a decision before you confuse EVERYONE with changes.

First let me say that I am so sorry your day wasn't all you had dreamed of. Second, you looked so beautiful despite all the stress and drama.

I am sorry so many people have questioned you on this post. I know from experience though how imperfect the Escape wedding can be (it was called Intimate Wedding when we got married).

Our coordinator was less than perfect and we had a Epcot Illuminations reception so we had a second coordinator for that. The communication between the two was poor and it created quite a few snags in our plans.

No bride should have to hunt down their coordinator. They also should know all the details. Whether or not she was obligated to stay your coordinator should have made sure you knew exactly were to go for your transportation. I hope some type of compensation is offered to you even though I know you can never get that day back.

we paid top dollar and the disney videographer didnt bother to show up so I dont have a wedding video. which really upset me. the money was refunded for the video though

I'm sorry the day didn't turn out the way you expected. Especially the whole flower ordeal. They should have been there, period, end of story.

Other than that, I have to tell you how gorgeous you looked! wow, you looked like a princess and your husband, so handsome!!!

Thanks everyone. I am still VERY disappointed about my wedding but we came to an acceptable arrangement with Disney. I know that our situation was a rare event although that doesnt do anything for the memories that my husband and I have of our wedding. We are supposed to get our pictures from Disney tomorrow so I will post a link for them as well.

To all the brides and grooms that are planning their wedding, just make sure that you make your wishes known. Double and triple check all the arrangements, be VERY specific with what you want. Put it in WRITING and make sure that you go over it with whoever is involved. GO OVER EVERY LITTLE DETAIL with your planner, let it be known what you need and expect. It never hurts to have a back up person for everyone to go to besides the planner that knows what is going on. That way you dont wind up fielding all the little issues that pop up. Ask your questions and if you dont like the answers then demand to know why it cant be the way that you would like it to be. You dont have to be hateful but be very very blunt.

I know that you are extremely unhappy with the way that your wedding day turned out. I know that I (and I am sure that others too) only hope for the best when it comes to this really special day; especially when you factor in the amount of money spent to ensure that everything will run smoothly.

However, I have to honestly say that you looked absolutely beautiful and if I had seen the pictures alone without the backstory, I wouldn't have even had imagined that your day wasn't lovely. You looked like a princess and your family is absolutely gorgeous!

Don't dwell on the bad stuff. Things don't always turn out perfectly and what you hope for doesn't always come into play. Focus on the good stuff. Re-marrying the man of your dreams and re-comitting yourselves to one another (I'm sure) was and is the most important and beautiful thing to come out of all of this.

Although I am not a Disney bride, I find it awesome that you have shared your experiences and gave helpful tips and warnings to future Disney brides and grooms. I find it extremely helpful to know how past brides of the venue that I have chosen, were treated and how they personally felt during their own events. Overall, you were a beautiful bride!

I'm sorry that your day was not what you expected. My wedding had some flaws as well (including guests missing the ceremony), and I am hoping that my vr will be perfect.

In reality though, there is no perfect day. You have to expect that some things will go wrong. I can see the disappointment on your face as you walk down the aisle, and it should not be like that. I think you should focus on the positives of the day.

As far as the photography - I think DPS did a good job. They may have missed a few shots you wanted, but overall, as a photographer myself, I see a lot of artistic elements, and a few bad shots. That doesn't excuse missing your requests, but many times it is not always possible to fulfill all of the bride's requests due to time constraints, location, or circumstances.

I think the difference between DPS and your friend is their styles. DPS is more formal and your friend is more artistic. I think that you should have hired your friend if you wanted that particular style.

I hope that you will remember all the positives of the day, and try not to place anger and blame on everyone. I hope that Disney is able to compensate you in some way.
