Evening Extra Magic Hours at Epcot?

Hi all. We have never taken advantage of the EEM at any park but we think there may be some advantage and fun to doing this on our next trip!
We would be at Epcot on May 29.

What are the waits like for Tier 1 attractions, specifically Test Track and Frozen?
Is Turtle Talk nearly empty / better chance to ask questions?
Are all the World Showcase shops open?
Anything else you think I should know about?

Test track and Soarin will most likely be 30 min waits at their lowest posted. Although, might be shorter in reality.

Don't know about Frozen. We road it twice and my kids hate that the boats are full of water! My teen said he's not getting his a$$ wet again!

Most world showcase shops will be open until the end, the popular ones will be. There will be no street performers. Some of the movies do shut down early.

If they still print a times guide for EMH, I'd grab one when you enter the park that day. Everything should be listed with their hours.

We haven't done an evening EMH in Epcot in years! Looking forward to it this trip.

Unfortunately they quit printing EMH Times Guides several years ago.

Below is an old PM EMH Times Guide for Epcot just to give a basic "idea" of what all is open,BUT DON"T GO BY IT-TOO OLD!.

Most of the shops in World Showcase do remain open,but a few may not remain open or may close before the end of PM EMH(the huge stores in China and Japan frequently close early).

We love touring World Showcase during PM EMH-it is not crowded and is a great time to converse with the ICMs.

We arrive that day as well and plan to go to Epcot as well since they have late emh. I have 3 fps booked already for that evening, so we'll go with whatever is open and explore It's one of our lighter days of the 10 LOL

We always do the evening EMH, I wish all the parks had them! We were at EPCOT in March over spring break. The parks were packed all day--at one point Figment had a 45 minute wait! Throughout EMH, Spaceship Earth, along with Figment, the Pixar shorts, and Nemo at the Seas were all walk-on. I think Turtle Talk and the Land boat ride were both closed. Last 30 minutes we split up for TT and Mission Space. TT was about 25 min (real wait, 45 posted) and MS was walk-on both sides. We rode both Orange and Green in less than the 25 min posted. Sorry I can't help with FEA and Soarin'. We rode Soarin' earlier in the day, and FEA is one of the few rides we skip more often than not. This was all consistent with our typical EMH experience on previous trips as well!

We arrive that day too! We have plans to go to EPCOT because we always start off our trip by eating at Garden Grill and riding Test Track. We are arriving early though so I doubt we'll stay for the EMH.

The atmosphere during late night is so enjoyable. I like to grab a Grand Marnier slushie and just hang out.

We went 2 years ago on Memorial day. Crowds were not bad for a holiday.
We rode Soarin right before the park closed with about 10 minute wait then went straight to Test Track. We actually got to Test Track about 10:55 and walked on. We were about to get off and the guy asked if we wanted to ride again. We said yes without getting up. The posted wait times during that time lie. They seem to have wait times posted way higher then what they usually are at closing.

I did Epcot EMH during this spring break and had similar experiences to DisMommyTX. I can add that Soarin' was the last thing we did, with a 10 min wait where 7 of that was just walking the long halls. I didn't do FEA but did notice the time listed on the app a few times and it dropped down to 35 min pretty quick. Towards the end of the EMH I would bet it's an actual 5-10min wait once you walk through all the queue to the back of the line.

One thing to remember about EMH is that there is no longer Fastpass people being fed into the spaces on a ride so the Standby queue keeps a good pace. There was still a heavy crowd around World Showcase enjoying all of the Flower & Garden beauty. I didn't notice what time the booths started closing down. Go to Coca Cola Club Cool and get a late night Beverly!

When we were there in January a bunch of the shops in the WS closed by the time Illuminations was over. So it was stroll and hope some places were still open. Nemo was a walk on as was SSE. We don't ride soarin so I can't help you with that one.

That's a shame-every time we have gone to PM EMH TTWC was open-must be another cost-cutting move similar to the ending of Disney Junior Dance Party over at DHS(before they just stopped doing the PM EMH at DHS altogether!).

Yes,thanks Fastpasser, I’m sure everyone appreciates your input on these boards. Personally I would be happy just to walk around World Showcase even if everything was closed,it is so beautiful in the dark. Glad you can rely on the good old U.K. Fish and Chip shop to be open! And finish off with a Cronut from the Refreshment Port if you have room!

To the OP, we went in early May last year and Soarin and TT were posted at 20 to 40 during the first hour when we were there. We walked on other rides and let the kids play in the empty kid areas. They had a blast and I agree with the previous poster who said Epcot has a nice feel at night. It was very uncrowded and lots of people said hi.

I wouldn't think they'll change much, but those are current times and offerings, and as usual, are subject to change at any time.

Odd. The last time we did EMH at Epcot we planned Figment and they had it and Pixar closed. CM were stationed to stop guests from walking up there and said it was never opened for EMH. We spent pretty much the entire EMH in line for Soarin anyway, which is why we pretty much never bother with evening EMH. 90 min waits are not worth it

If there is a festival do the carts stay open? I thought they closed but then again, I thought all the stores were closed in WS too. I guess I had the misfortune to check the few that were, not any listed above that were open, aside from Mousegears of course.
