Family of 6 best resort option w/ express pass

We are a Disney family but we are doing a trip to Universal in the fall & originally we were not going to take our 3 year old just the older kids which would've been 5 & stay at Hard Rock which would then include the express pass. Now we are taking the little one which makes us 6 & puts us over capacity for those top tier hotels.
What is our best option to go & get express passes without breaking the bank?

Probably two rooms at the Royal Pacific.

We had 2 connecting rooms at Royal Pacific. Worked out great.

We've booked connecting rooms at HRH - four kids in one, two adults in the other.

We did two rooms at RPR. The room size is smaller than at PBR and HRH, and that comes at a slightly lower price (most of the time, deals are said to happen). So for us, I wanted to save a few dollars and that was what we went with.

Just FYI, we stayed at RPR twice fairly recently, both times with connecting rooms. One time there was a King in one room and two queens in the other. The second stay there were two queens in each room. Preferred the setup with the King as you get a sofa (no sofa in the two queen bed rooms) but that stay it took quite awhile of waiting around for the connecting rooms to be cleaned and ready for check-in, and by that time we just wanted to get in the room and unpack!
