I am pretty sure it does. I will be out there in a few weeks and will try and confirm.
That'd be great! Thanks! We're going the week of Thanksgiving...

I think you're confused this is Fantasmic at Disneyland not Disneyworld we are discussing.
Yes. I was there on Wed Aug 5 and the tower was down for the late show until about 10 minutes before. So does the tower go back down again before the second show? You can use this trick for the 10:30 if need be?
Of course you can stake out a spot hours early for the 9PM show. But you can't for the 10:30 show because of the earlier showing. The only time I have seen Fantasmic! was on my most recent trip in late July. It was extremely busy, the entire park was packed. We got to our spot behind the middle light tower about a half hour before the 10:30 show started. There were very rude people behind us that were trying to push their children in front of us so they could stand on the fence, so beware (probably the same deal everywhere though.) We had a good view for the show. I would definitely recommend it for those who don't care about the *best possible* view (the tower still obstructs things, and you are right behind the control panels for the show) and don't want to wait forever. If you really care about the best possible view, stake out a spot hours earlier or shell out for the dessert seating...really the only ways! If I were to watch Fantasmic! again, I'd probably use the light tower trick...it isn't worth it to me to use one of the other methods.
It is about $60. See Mary Jo's excellent write up here:How much does the Fantasmic dessert seating cost, or is it included in something (package)? Any links to where I can find out more info?
It depends. There are "sitting only" areas near the water in front and "standing only" areas further back. The light tower trick is a standing only area. In this case people want to get their kids forward so adults do nto block the view. So you have to stand your ground. So where are the best spots for viewing? I did the light tower thing both of the nights we were there and we loved it.

I think you mean the concrete around the planters and visitors are not allowed to sit on these. If you want sitting with seats there is the paid dessert seating and the Riverbelle Terrace restaurant. If you can handle sitting on the ground then you want a spot near the water.Hi,
We are going to try to catch Fantasmic on our trip this year (Sept 20-25th). My question is this: we have 2 young girls (2.5 & 5 yrs old) and we have to have a seating area. I know that there are concrete "benches" that line the back of the walkway, opposite the fence next to the water. Do people sit on these or is it part of the "walkway" that the CMs make and are people not allowed to sit here.
Is it hard to see the show "through" the fence if we did stake out an early spot?
The better sitting spots are of course in the center but the ones to the sides are also very good because there are three "water screens" which show the projector images. Hence the water screens on the left and right show the projections to those sitting non-center.

I know your post is over a year ago. But I was interested in the RiverBelle Terrace Restaurant. Can you really see Fantasmic from there?
