Favorite One-Hit Wonders (Spin-Off Thread)

A couple of these I remembered the song but not the band (Dolby, Timbuk 3), which helps to prove the one hit wonder-ness of them. I liked all these back in the day.
DEVO - Whip It
Wild Cherry - Play That Funky Music
Tommy Tutone - 867-5309/Jenny
Timbuk 3 - The Future's So Bright
Thomas Dolby - She Blinded Me With Science

Blinded By The Light by Manfred Mann could probably be called a "one hit wonder" (though they had a milder hit with "For You"). Bonus points as it's also a cover :)

I REALLY like "I Could Be Good For You" by 707:

Patti Smith is arguably a one hit wonder with Because The Night (written mostly by Bruce Springsteen), but I have all of her albums from the beginning up until the early 00s.

In the spirit of your question, however, I liked a few of the above mentioned songs, plus

Take On Me-Aha
Tainted Love-Soft Cell
Rock the Boat-The Hues Corporation
Band of Gold-Freda Payne

LOL. When "She Loves You" came out it drove my mother nuts! Actually, the Beatles did. When we moved over here, mum was like "thank GOD I'm away from the Beatles". And then...they hit America. LOL

I have Gang of Four's I Love a Man in a Uniform on my "no hit wonders" list.;)

It's really Stacy's Mom by Fountains of Wayne. A 'cover" of a scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont High is in the video.
There was also a car commercial featuring that song. I think some Cadillac SUV.
