February 2011 - who's going? - IT'S FEBRUARY! WAHOO!

Woo Hoo!! I'm next in line! We are Grandma, Grandpa, DD and 2 grandkids 4 & 9. We are leaving in the morning, 5 1/2 hr drive. Staying at HoJo 2 nights in a Disney view room. We will check in and then walk to DTD to do some shopping and have dinner at Rainforest Cafe.
We only have 1 day hoppers (won some in a contest) So we'll do a quick few rides at DCA, then spend the rest at DL.
Hoping for light crowds since the hours are short and of course we want to do it all! The current closures will help us save time.
It will be over way too soon.

So I checked Trip Advisor this morning for recent reviews on the hotel we had booked (BW Raffles) and they were really bad . I quickly called Expedia (I LOVE Expedia) and we decided to move to the Ramada Maingate at the Park. This hotel is MUCH closer than the BW (5 min walk ) and looks so much nicer. I feel much much better about this one (cost a little more but the distance to the park is so going to be worth it).

WE made it all the way from Australia to LA picked up rent a car negotiated the freeways HOJO great people let us check in early have premium Disney view which is excellent.
We will be doing the early hour entry Thursday at Disneyland cant wait

Stayed at the Ramada Maingate at the Park last month and loved it! Super friendly staff, rooms were clean, the distance to the parks can't be beat! Parking was free and there was always spots available. Also a little shop/restaurant fast food type place there if you get hungry while there!

As posted in a previous post, our get away planned for this weekend has been hijacked by our pesky teenagers. DD(13) has a volleyball tournament this Saturday, and DD(15) and I want to go to the annual Equine Affaire this weekend. So DH will go with younger DD's tourney, and elder DD and I will go to the horse trade show. (We have rescheduled our romantic weekend for July 4th weekend.)

Found out yesterday that the volleyball tourney will be held in Anaheim., just down the street from DLR. So at least something worked out. They will be able to check us in early than I thought. We will meet up later in the evening and spend the day together in DL on Sunday.

2 more days til check in at the VGC!
