Flight prices for next Easter!

Hello everyone,
Just a quick one to say that, as flights for next Easter hols are starting to open up it pays to be flexible. We priced up 14 nights flights with BA plus Avis car hire to Orlando, 2 adults, 2 children and it was over £4.5k! But decided to have a look around and got BA flights and car hire for the same dates and car to and from Miami and added a hotel stopover in Fort Lauderdale for less that half of that cost £2.2k. I know many would not choose to drive from Miami, but we decided to take that 3hr drive in each direction to “save” enough money to pay for our 8 nights at Art of Animation!
Now just hoping we will be allowed to go!

We often fly in to Miami. Stay at an airport hotel for the night , collect the car the next morning early and then drive up to Orlando.

Easter is the most expensive time for Florida I find - not sure why lol

I think it’s the combination of decent school hols and less humid (usually!) weather. Also at the US end there is the spring break and Easter peak of visitors which puts pressure on rooms in decent hotels. Still, we’ve got what we needed at a price we are relatively happy with so fairly happy. Just need Covid to stop getting in the way now!
