So here is the deal: we have a day in Orlando after we get back from a cruise on 12/23. I was too chicken to book a same day flight back (which seems pretty common, but the flight selection for us wasn't great and frankly, I don't want to risk missing a flight during this time of year with 5 of us). Anyhow -- we have 1 day in Orlando. Looking for something not Disney and a nice way to unwind from the cruise (heh...).
I kicked around Universal Studios but I'm guessing it will be a zoo. So I've been looking at Four Seasons Orlando. The cost of the room is steep, but actually is cheaper than a hotel + theme park tickets for the five of us, and has great reviews. It also seems to have a lot to do for families. We have an 8 year-old and 2 five-year olds.
Has anyone stayed here? Is it worth the price for just one day before we fly back home the next morning? Is there anything special around Christmas (aside from the decorations, which look lovely)?
I appreciate any feedback here. Thanks!
