We have 5pm reservations at Ohanna before MNSSHP. We were going to wear pirate costumes to the restaurant and then head to the party, but I just read somewhere that this wasn't allowed. Can someone confirm this?

i would consider trying to get an earlier ADR. While the party doesn't start till 7 (I believe), you can enter the park with the party ticket anytime after 4.

Thanks so much everyone. I thought of that, but this is actually one of the times we are relaxing in the morning/early afternoon. We are doing 2 other days in MK besides this one, so it wasn't that big of a deal to get their that early. Also, I didn't wan't to have dinner too early and be hungry later.

Here are the official costume rules for the Halloween Party. With a pirate costume, looks like the only issue is do not include a "lifelike" toy sword or pistol as that would not be not allowed if it could be mistaken for the real thing. Also, I would avoid any eyepatches given the "eyes must be visible" rule. Enjoy the party!

I think you will be fine at both 'Ohana and MK. You may get some strange looks at 'Ohana but that is expected if you are dressing up.

Have a great trip and enjoy the party

I will be that person...plus I will giggle since my wife and I are going as pirates and are also doing Ohana at 430 before a party.

I’ve never gotten out of there in under two hours. Just saying.

I know! OP- ask for the bill in advance because that place is going to be hopping that night. The monorail restaurants are crazy busy on party night with people going tehre before the party and people leaving the park after their day.

As to dressing up, one of the benefits for anyone dinign near the parks on a party night is getting to enjoy folks who are in costume. Have a great time!
