Halloween Time Superthread 2019: "Oogie Boogie Bash" Party to Be Held in DCA ONLY! and Other Halloween Time Information

But if we were to get the extra day, it is the only day we'd be able to do the morning magic, so that would give us from 7am-3pm at Disneyland. . . Probably would take a mid day break just before the party.

My group prefers not to be on the park the day off the party. They don't like being rushed, and I don't like getting them all up and out on time. So this year we're opting for a character dining for breakfast. It depends on what you and your group wants (and can do) -- if spending the timeframe (which is a pretty hefty timeframe and would be worth it) is better spent at the park, then go for it!

Are there any premium packages for viewing of the parades or WOC show? I saw that one at Wine Country. Has anyone seen anything else?

I believe Carthay has one. There may be the Dessert party depending on the timeframe that you're going as well. Though I don't think FP's for WOC are being offered during the party. That might be for regular nights.

For the Halloween parade, there's a small timeframe that is supposed to be available for booking that you can do via Wine Country.

At least, that's what I've read from GothicRosie (on IG & FB) so far.

If you mean during OBB, WCT is the only dining package for parade viewing that is being offered right now. Disney has said there will be no packages or FPs for WOC during the parties.

From page 52 of this thread: Here is the information on the Parade Viewing Dining Package at WCT and the information on no packages for WOC:

Parade Dining Package, so far only at Tratoria...View attachment 431863

View attachment 431952I have a screen shot update from gothic Rosie. I guess there still won’t be WOC packages :( only parade ones.

Also, if we aren’t allowed to have pics of other accounts, please delete. I put this pic since I know we are all anxiously awaiting more info on these.

Hi All

I’m hoping some of you DLC experts may have knowledge of tickets for the Halloween Parties.

Essentially, I’ve faffed about with whether or not I wish to attend, and now all the tickets for my dates have sold.

Do Disney ever release extra tickets direct at the gates nearer the time?

I know it’s probably a no, but thought I would ask in case anything changes between now and my visit to the US

Thanks in Advance

Gill

See the information below and move quickly. (By the way, for future reference and in case you do any searches on this board, the abbreviation for Disneyland Resort is DLR.)

For anyone trying to get tickets to a sold out Halloween Party:

1) Call the ticket line ASAP to see if there are any tickets available for the date you want. Maybe or maybe not -- but you won't know until you call.
2) If you are local, try asking at the ticket booths. Sometimes when a party sells out online, there are tickets still available at the booths, not many, but some. Again, worth a shot. But, be aware, some parties have been sold out for while now (see the first post on page one of this thread for the dates each party sold out online), so there may not be any tickets left for those dates.
3) Stay on site the day of your party. In the past, the on site hotels have reserved some (not a lot) of day of party tickets for their guests to be sold first thing in the morning (early!) first come, first served.
4) Choose a different date that is still available and move fast to buy your tickets.
5) Don't do DCA with the OBB, but do a day at DL which will still have all the Halloween Time decorations, special food items, HMH, and Halloween Screams fireworks.

Whatever you do, do not buy OBB tickets through a third party vendor. Disney does NOT authorize Halloween party ticket sales through third party vendors, so the risk of getting scammed and ripped off is real. We get reports every year of people being turned away from the gates with scam tickets. Don't be one of these people and don't support the scammers.

Yes, make a regular reservation for WCT, then request the upgrade to the Parade Viewing Package when you check in. What time you request depends on your preference and how your group eats. If your group has slow eaters, book a time early enough to allow for that so that you will finish with plenty of party time still left. If you are fast eaters, you could book a later time. And, of course, all of this depends on what times are available for your group size on the date you want.

In need of some help in either buying or making costume DD11 wants to wear. She wants to be a cast member. A plaid cast member the ones who give the VIP tours i believe. Any Ideas on where to buy a vest or is there a fabric name you guys know that is similar to it. I can probably sew something if need be.

It's maddening that you can only make reservations till about 4:50pm.... but walking ins are allowed up to 6pm. I suspect the parade viewing packages will all be gone by 5pm though. (I'm guessing everyone making reservations will be wanting that parade viewing too)

Saw this on Etsy. Maybe they can make it sized for an 11 year old?

I've got a question for you all, because I can't seem to make up my mind. On the party day, should I buy an additional day at the parks and spend the morning there, or should we do a character breakfast instead? Cost wise, the difference between the 2 are about $5 each (and there's only 2 of us), plus we can get free breakfast from the hotel. At first I was thinking we could do a very late breakfast, so that it was more like a lunch, but the latest I could find was for 10:40am, which isn't all that late for us. If we were to do this, we'd spend the rest of the time exploring dtd again or at the hotel.

But if we were to get the extra day, it is the only day we'd be able to do the morning magic, so that would give us from 7am-3pm at Disneyland. . . Probably would take a mid day break just before the party.

We did the parks prior to the party and found it was just too much. My kids (teens) basically slept through the parade at the end of the night. Plus I feel like I wasted a day on my three day hopper. This year we are going to hit up the beach the morning before the party, have brunch and relax a bit.

We are only going Fri afternoon-Sun and staying onsite we want to maximize our time there and will be going in the day of the party. We know our way around the parks and we will probably be back at the hotel by 12pm and will rest and use pool/shop before heading back. If we had an extra day on our travel dates and did not have APs we would probably skip the morning of the party and use it to shop/relax/explore. Even having AP and if i did have an extra day we would probably not go into the parks that day, but since everyone schedule in our family is a bit crazy during the Halloween time and this is the only time we can go then we are making the most out of it.

Thanks for this. I've been wondering if we should go to the parks earlier or not but now I think we'll sleep in, get some brunch and explore Downtown Disney.

Hi there. I called yesterday and was told if you make a reservation at WTC during a party, and tell them that you want the package (it is prix frix menu) you will get the ticket to the viewing area at the end of the meal.

Is it bad I'm already anticipating all the glow cubes at Carthay will be sold out by the time October 1st rolls around. Last year I went ~Oct 20th and pretty much both parks were gutted of the exclusive merch and some of the food items. :(:(

I know. I’m trying not to get too attached to anything I’m seeing online since I’m afraid it will be gone by the time we arrive on 10/6...
Like I really want the AP cauldron popcorn bucket but what are the chances there will still be any??
