I want to go where the weather suits my clothes

The time has come. With the latest addition to our family of Disney travelers, we just cannot stuff one more thing into the Expedition. With the coolers, TV's, snacks, etc. there is barely enough room for me.
I have been looking online at the different types of rooftop carriers and I notice there are many kinds. I like the hard carrier, but storage (when not in use) could be an issue. I have noticed that Samsonite makes a waterproof soft carrier and I'm thinking that's the way to go. With the storms that pop up in FL, I don't want to be wringing out clothes when we get there. I will not invest in a Yakima or Thule (we don't use it enough) and I can't find a price online for the Sears X-Cargo.
Also, what size is the most efficient. Is bigger better?
Thanks in advance. See y'all in April!
