I say you should pick up, "Something you want, something you need, something to wear, and something to read." (The old adage about what to buy kids for Christmas--ha ha!!!).

Buy yourself your favourite treat, grab a new cookbook or purchase some digital books for your device, get some Eileen West pajamas, whatever! It wouldn't be hard to spend $200.

I'm part of the few who said fancy dinner. Actually, I'd spend it on any meal I didn't have to clean up after. Pre-Covid we ate out maybe 3-4 times a week. Some fancy, some dive bars. Since Covid, we try to support local restaurants by ordering in a couple of times a week. But I still have to set the table plate the food, clean up after and put away dishes when clean. I just want to sit at a table and have food put in front of me!

The three things I am wanting right now are a new comforter for my bed (I have 5 in my Amazon cart right now and can’t decide), new towels for both bathrooms and an Apple Watch. I would buy one of those.

Buy really nice quality comfy boots. They’re a luxury you wouldn’t usually splurge on but also something you will use often and will improve your quality of life.

So I'm sure you've all been waiting with baited breath to see how I'd distribute my new found wealth. After long deliberations, I've decided not to splurge on one big item, but on several smaller things. So far I've spent $30 of it on takeout from a new chicken place in town and $10 on tonight's Mega Million drawing. We recently upgraded to a king bed but are still using the pillows from our queen bed and they look pitifully small, so I will be purchasing 2 new pillows. I've also had my eye on these pricey compression socks so I'm going to pull the trigger and get those. Whatever's left, I'll spend on Happy Hour with my BFF, my treat until the funds run out. Fingers crossed for tonight's drawing! :cool1:

eta: my first choice was the swanky $200 meal, but I don't really want to drive an hour each way and not have the full experience due to covid, I still want to eat there, but it will have to wait.

My survey answer was "stock the wine rack." It was my first response, but as I just spent $140 at the NH liquor store, it's already done! Therefore... I'd get a hotel room for overnight, and have a nice dinner with DH. $200 would be just enough!

A good dinner or spa treatment would be nice. Both expenditures would benefit local businesses and their employees.

I voted for spa day. My facialist has been open, and imo, nothing is better than relaxing while someone works on you - whether massage, or a facial, or both!

My second choice would be to buy some nice wine to stock my wine fridge! Although there have been some purses I have been eyeing too!
